It is exceedingly fun to be sitting on one of these seats :D First time I've come across this config! And cracking open Elwin Cotman's anthology "Weird Black Girls". Real paper, from a real library :D #bus #publictransport #nerdlyf #booksofbluesky
A single bus seat at the front of the bus (this one is just behind the driver: I am on the opposite side, as I prefer pavement side to centre line side), suspended OVER the arch of a bus's front wheel, with a nifty baggage holder set behind it, similarly suspended. LOVE high seats - awesome window viewing action! Also I just like height.

Doggo has Thoughts. More in alt text. #dogsofbluesky
Ginger dog, forearms demurely crossed, has her head lying atop the book currently open at said story. (Then she stared at me, wheezed lying a deflatinf balloon and licked the couch back, as is her wont.)

NOT sleeping _on_ me for a change <3 For now... #dogsofbluesky
A ginger dog sleeping on pale woollen blanket and pillow, on a grey couch, her cute round bum facing toward camera. Her back legs are tucked forward to reach her nose, which is tucked under her front legs and feets. She has her ears up - a sign she's super relaxed.

2/2 ...I noticed they had amazing turquoise / indigo / violet colouring inside their arms. Also lovely yellow mandarin colouring on their outer arms :D And very round belly, with mauve accents <3
Very shy praying mantis on my clothing NOT wanting to return to garden, arms all tucked up in the manner of "eep!".Image of praying mantis now on plants, showing the colours mentioned (main insect is always green) in the posts.Different angle of said green praying mantis, showing lovely round belly :)

I love the way this yucca has decided to fuckit on the whole vertical thing and at about 170ish cm decided instead to sprawl languidly over the length and width of this barrel, including hanging a bit down the side. Can relate.
An array of 4 wooden barrels in a metal gantry-type structure, with the pot of said yucca to the bottom right of the top left barrel, and its spiky head at the front left of said barrel, having made itself Very Comfortable. A skylight shines in the background, a couple pf stories up (we're in a warehouse with some comfy couches. The one on which I'm sat is a classic 70s one also upholstered in stripey green.). Doggo lying at my feet. New book. Good pint. Heaven :)

I am a universe. My car is a cityscape :)
Drying pattern on the driver side of a grey car looks like the silhouette of a cityscape (more steepled than flat roofs for the tallest buildings, so an older / ancient city, which feels on point for dog's and my souls) :)

And WTF is this ad?
An ad for...toe separators? "Wear these pads to sleep for one night then brace yourself", with an image of two feet and a...thing?...that goes over foot too and between toes.

(Ladies and gentlenerds: just wear shoes that don't torture your feets. Wear flats - zero drop if you can - with wide toe boxes. It may feel weird at first, which means you've let bad gear shorten your achilles tendon and crush your toes togethe (heyo bunions), but it can recover. Plus you get to feel the planet your cheap slave-made landfill obsession is killing, and our bodies actually quite like engaging with the world.)

Bowl stuck in pot :( Have tried getting water underneath it and then boiling it - no dice. The bowl is very slightly fatter at the bottom, and so rocking it up on one side also doesn't help. It was fine when the pot had water in it (washing up pile). Ideas? (Other than breaking bowl...)

Art of a young human in a dinosaur costume joyfully kicking over a set of blocks, all giant-Monster-in-city-like.

(I should note: the pic is Me. But i also walked out of Godzilla (the newer one) and refuse to watch monster movies because it's not the lifeform's fault, it's the humans', and the glee in the torture and death is beyond me and horrifying.)

ORLY. a) DOGE cost a great deal more than it saved (a very, very, VERY great deal, and much of it irrecoverable), and b) what risk? OF RIDICULE? I mean, yeah, but meh. What's the line? "Men are afraid women will laugh at them. Women are afraid men will kill them*." [* including for laughing]
A tweet by Eln0, about the smol-souled tragic bill: "It more than defeats all the cost savings achieved by the @DOGE team at great personal cost and risk"

What a haul! It's the autumn market at the Phillipstown community hub, and I walked away with5 amazing jars of goodness ($5 for 4, and one free), AND this wee octopus, as we know I adore them and they're TOO cute and, as I thought, sit perfectly on my head :D [Also $5...] Preserve source in alt txt.

I don’t really do stickers on my laptop (I have only one, because it’s very special to me), and this will be the second. The whole series is great, including the artworks themselves! This was an extra special treat because $ :) Also I wanted to be very careful that I supported, not appropriated.

So, I can’t speak more lovingly about London Canteen if I tried. The plants! The food! The coffee! The pond! (And the prices are incredible. This tasty breakfast below is $17. And the Basque cheesecake? $7.5. And trust me - perfection, and I don’t generally do cake because not worth it.)
Tomato, mushroom, perfectly poached egg, incredible potato, bacon, Cumberland (!!) saussie, actually tomato-baked beans, and some tasty shoots. (And for me obvs heaps of hot sauce, not shown.)

One of my favourite indoor spots in #Ōtautahi: the gorgeous conservatory garden (and outdoor pond section too) at London Canteen <3 Oh! And it’s Table Bloom so the patisseries are AMAZING, as is the coffee (and all very reasonably priced). #nzgardens
A table surrounded on three sides by lush vegetation. My spot for today :)More of the indoor conservatory, complete with lovely stables and chairs, stunning huge indoor vegetation and flowers and more (there are also couches and a raised dais with kids’ toys).More conservatory! This isn’t the lovely outdoor pond area, but an indoor pool (fenced), complete with selection of rubber duckies sitting on an edge. For them as don’t know it: that triffid is a wild radish. They grow very fast and get very huge and make many more all the time. And as brassicas they’re entirely edible :)
A wild radish. The ones with white flowers tend to have spiny stems, whereas the light pink-flowered ones don’t. It’s about 1.5m high and almost as wide, and they’re very easily knocked over by feckless winds / dogs / spinsters :P
