At Wychlith, light awakens. Darkness waits.
Rihalyn clings to one goal: survive long enough to reclaim her suppressed power, uncover what Mahdilyn hid, and learn why she died for it. But when Kieran, Abel’s son, takes her under his mentorship, she cannot tell whether he is shielding her from Abel or shaping her into something useful for his own rise. Kieran wields dark magic, the same force draining Runyan of its color, and every lesson awakens Rihalyn’s light while binding her more tightly to him.

If Abel finds her, he’ll drain her.
If Kieran loves her, he may destroy her.
Now she must decide who to trust before Abel senses the light waking inside her, Kieran’s darkness corrupts it, and what little color remains in Runyan vanishes forever.
