[ Bloodymary ] Simon and Rocky centered doodles while I swim through projects. 🐦🎨 #art #phm #projecthailmary #ironlung

sketch page of Simon from Iron Lung and Rocky from Project Hail Mary. In the top left corner, Simon is on his knees wiping the floor while Rocky cheers him on, saying "Good good!! Help keep ship clean!!" Simon says he's glad to help.
In the top right corner, the two of them are sitting and looking at the laptop, which has the wikipedia page of Mars. Rocky comments, "Make no sense... Humans did not colonize Mars." Simon responds "Yeah..." Rocky continues, "But you come from there, statement." Simon responds "Yeah..." Again.
Bottom left doodle is Simon piloting while Rocky's hands are up in the air going "Amaze amaze!" Rocky compliments "Simon great pilot!!" Simon replies, "Really? I, uh... Barely know what I'm doing." "Better than Grace - And Simon doing it with only one hand!"
In the bottom right doodle, Simon with a teary eye is gently touching the plants on the ship. Rocky - not seen - asks, "Friend Simon okay, question?"

A doodle of Rocky and Grace from Project Hail Mary and Simon from Iron Lung. While Grace is laying in bed with an iv and a tube in his throat, Rocky appears to be talking with a bunch of musical notes in the background. Simon listens while staring at Grace, thinking, "I can't wait to meet you..."

Doodles of Rocky from Project Hail Mary, and Simon from Iron Lung. Simon is crying throughout the doodles while Rocky comforts him, in the very end Simon hugging Rocky's ball while Rocky leans in. The conversation is as follows:
"-And that's why I was down there. I don't deserve this."
"... It happened years ago, question?"
"... Yeah. Lost count. At least 15 years ago."
"... Simon did terrible things... When human child. Did not know better, and had a very, very terrible life. Simon... Fought to live. Life was bad. Humans around Simon were bad. You did your best to live, and even tried to save lives. You feel guilt. Can not take back bad things done, but can move forward to live better. You... Deserve to live."

Simon (from Iron Lung) and Ryland Grace (from Project Hail Mary), covered by Grace's quilt, are sitting together on the floor. Simon rests his head on Grace's shoulder, and he kisses his forehead. A Lily of the Valley is in a vase between Simon's boots.

Simon and Grace in my Swap Au. Thoughts? (Yes I shortened Engineer to Engine coz I am NOT writing allat) #bloodymary #simonironlung #rylandgrace #projecthailmary #ironlung #swapau #bloodymaryswapau #queerspacemen

Digital drawing of a reference sheet Ryland Grace and Simon from my bloodymary Swap AU

These are what the characters basically look like in their initial stages of the story :)

Grace has longer hair, tied back and a shaggy beard. Dressed in a bloodies lab coat. Radiation burns stretch down his left side. His beard hides his mutations.

Simon wears the Project Hail Mary uniform, he has belts and harnesses where he holds all his tools. Still has long hair, it’s tied into a ponytail and wears his headband thing to keep hair out of his face.
He has burn scarring down his left side also, from an explosion. Amputated left arm, from said explosion also.

Close up of a small doodle of Grace’s mutations.
Grace’s beard has been shaved off and his hair cut shorter to reveal the mutations.
Long sharp teeth come out of his left cheek. Just some real gnarly stuff.
Next to it is a smaller doodle of Simon blushing coz he’s a freak.

Pen sketches of Simon falling to the ground similar to the scene in PHM book where Grace pulls himself out of the bed and tears the you know what out of his you know what

Underneath is Simon, with only one arm, clawing at the ground trying desperately to get away from Armando

Bottom left drawing show’s Simon casually strolling the Mary unclothed because who needs clothes when you’re stuck in a spaceship all alone

Thoughts; Ryland Grace; aroace-spec, I’m thinking aroflux or arospike, simply indifferent(or repulsed) about sex, adores Simon Simon: acespec, very little to no sexual attraction, grew up with no knowledge of any kind of intimacy or relationships so never cared much for them, cherishes Grace 😛😛

Say… If I were to write a BloodyMary Swap AU Fic.. Where Simon is a student studying Aerospace engineering and takes part in the creation of the Hail Mary And Ryland Grace is one of the lead scientists on the SM-8 in the blood ocean. Plus Adrian and Simon are bffs… Would anyone be interested..?

Ryland Grace drawn as Simon from Iron Lung, looking to his side horrified, with Ellie behind him
Ryland says “Fudge…”

Swap AU Simon talking to Adrian
Simon: “I’m no scientist Adrian, IDK what I’m doin’”
Adrian: “Simon stubborn and stupid… remind of Adrian mate”

Continuation of the last panel
Simon: “You have a mate?!”
Adrian: “Yes.”
Simon: “Hey wait, what was that first thing you said?!”
Adrian looking at a fake watch: “Oh look at time. Sleeptime”
Simon: “Hey! Don’t change the subject!

Rough sketch designs for my Swap! Au, Ryland is wearing his iconic “i had potential” shirt, his beard is outgrown and shaggy and his hair is oily and flat
Simon has a sort of engineer suit on, hair tied back in a ponytail and glasses
Missing his left arm and has scaring all down his left side

Pen doodles of Ryland Grace from PHM showing off his newly shaved beard and epic moustache
Simon from Iron Lung and Rocky look unimpressed

Horrid drawing of Simon attempting to show his affection for Grace but unsure of what to do, he leans toward Grace in attempt to lick him
Grace looks mortified

Ryland and Simon sharing a bed, Simon’s reading and Ruland’s working on his laptop
Simon tells Grace that he loves him and Grace says the same

The two have a moment of realisation of how comfortable and domestic their lives have become together

Grace Simon sleep
Grace spreads out taking up the entire mattress
Simon clings into grace

Pen doodles of characters Simon from Iron Lung and Ryland Grace from Project Hail Mary hangin’ out

Silly stupid drawing of the same characters eating the famous “me burger”

Simon looks down at the meal in utter concern and disgust asking “a WHAT burger?”
While Grace is happily eating the meal humming “Mmm me burger”

Sillier doodle of Grace holding Simon’s sleeve that has no arm in it introducing him as “Grace new friend”

Dramatic tomodachi life photo taken of my Simon and Grace Miis
