I decided Grogu needed some seasonally appropriate attire, so I whipped him up a witch's hat. I might have to go look for a tiny twig so he can have a wand 🤔 #crochet #amigurumi #starwars

I *loved* the take on heroism, particularly when kids are involved. I think this was my first T. Kingfisher book. The gateway book, if you will.

A quick check of instacart, and 2 out of 10 grocery stores had them. Several more had smoked turkey wings or necks. So... Not super common, but findable,I guess?

Nobody else will ever notice, and you'll have a cowl that induced less cursing (or is that just me when I frog? 😆)

100

fernadern.bsky.social @fernadern.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Also, throwing mohair (and mohair-like yarns) in the freezer for a bit beforehand supposedly makes it easier to frog. (Sorry if you already know all this!)

110

fernadern.bsky.social @fernadern.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I remember reading years ago (possibly on MDK?) that you don't really have to frog if you twist the connection, as long as you catch it early. You can "fix" it and it won't be that noticeable. Like this: knitmuch.com/fixing-a-twi...

It's scarf week for #showmeyourknits, and this is one of my favorites. 10 years ago I crocheted this Cthulhu for my brother, and included several accessories for it, including a Doctor Who scarf. I used a show-accurate pattern, cast on 5 stitches, and divided row counts by 4. #doctorwho #cthulhu

My issue with Olympos was the description of the female characters - I had no idea what the men looked like at all, but knew the cup size of every woman, among other things. But I'll give Hyperion a try- it's such an interesting premise! Thanks for answering 😊

110

fernadern.bsky.social @fernadern.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

I started reading his "Olympos," and noped out pretty early because it had a serious case of "men writing women." How was Hyperion in that regard, if you don't mind me asking?

Today we learned that Petey is full Aussie, no sheltie or Border Collie to be seen. We're surprised! He's only 30lbs, and is the daintiest, friendliest Aussie we've ever had. ♥️ #dogs #australianshepherd

100% Australian Shepherd

Australian Shepherds are an energetic mid-sized breed that make the perfect companion.

You may not have forgotten, but I did 😆 I misunderstood- you have two looms to re-home, not two heddles! I don't have space for another loom, but I can think of a couple of people/places that might. If you truly just want them gone, I'm happy to do the legwork and find them homes?
