I've been a busy bee recently. I've been trying to take over a largely dead subreddit called CraftsUK. A few days ago Reddit resigned the ownership to me so I'm currently trying to fix it up and get it going again.

I've not posted in a very long time. This was due to massive burn out, summer holidays etc and I can't say I'm fully back yet but it was a good day at my day job. I handed in my notice and will be starting a new job in November 😅

It's been a week since comic con and I have to say, #re2 #leon #cosplay was super popular. Even managed to find Ada, Rebecca and Claire which was amazing. Sadly Ada was too shy for a photo. Bonus photo of an amazing Asuska from Evangelion (favourite anime and character).

With only a week to go, my #leon #cosplay is nearly complete. I'm working on a set of RPD keys and maybe a wig. #residentevil2 #re2

Been busy with my #leon #cosplay Handcuffs are cheap metal toy ones, the torch is a cheap USB-C from eBay and the radio I printed (it's a Ghostbusters 80s design). The holsters for all are made of Eva foam. As an extra, I've started German lessons again. I remember far more than I thought I did.

First test fit today and it went well. A few areas to improve on but in a great place for my #leon #cosplay Added the patches to the vest now. #re2r

Fergus @fergusmonster.bsky.social · 11/04/2026

All my #Leon #cosplay pieces have arrived (-wig) and it's all amazing. I feel like my planning and research has paid off. I have a bunch to do but here is a pretty accurate #re2r tactical vest with screen accurate RPD patch (I have a full set). Magazine pouches 95% done, will redo the fastener.

Fergus @fergusmonster.bsky.social · 10/04/2026

Heres some of my latest #cosplay bits for my Leon suit. Just a few things to arrive still. The magazine pouch is made from Eva foam, patches brought from a cosplay shop and I made the keys. More updates to come! #leoncosplay #re2 #cosplay

It's been a while but I'm alive. Work has been intense lately and I just didn't want to deal with any socials. With a month remaining for this year's comic con, I was asked by my daughter to cosplay again. Last year I was Red Hood but it was so hot. This year is Leon RPD. #cosplay #re2 #redhood

Got a longer WIP video of me finishing up a card for #campfireechoes. I won't lie, the shading work can be quite dull but I think the overall look is worth it. #smallbusiness #boardgames #cardgames #indiebusiness

With the brand new DLC out for #cultofthelamb out, I've started a new play through so I can remind myself of everything. I absolutely adored this game so I'm looking forward to it.

Back at the artwork tonight. I was sat in my car doing this hence why it's so dark. Hope you enjoy watching me work on a new card illustration. Tea ☕ #smallbusiness #boardgames #cardgames #campfireechoes #indiebusiness

Keeping my head down with returning to my day job as well as setting up a lot of new furniture for the new year. All boardgames are stored downstairs now and even started displaying some of our favourite pieces.

Back at it with #campfireechoes artwork. Took a bit of a break over Christmas but now I think it's time to make progress again. Probably looking at 25% of all artwork complete right now. #smallbusiness #cardgame #boardgame

It's been an interesting year but as we draw a close on 2025, I am ready for the next. I've been swamped with holidays, family and working on the new business which has kept me quiet along with the worst flu in my life. I'm enjoying the last few days before full steam with my first ever card game!

Been a big but exhausting day today. After a year of therapy and assessments, my eldest was officially diagnosed with Autism. It felt like a weight off my shoulders. Nothing changes but it has a name for the thing I believed she had and I was so sure. Feel very vindicated.

Another update, this time for one of our Moral Dilemmas cards for #campfireechoes. Most of the time I work on the art throughout my day but Wednesday nights I'm usually drawing in a carpark waiting for classes to end. The artwork is steadily getting there! #smallbusiness #cardgames #boardgames

Time for another behind the scenes update on our upcoming game #campfireechoes I'm busy illustrating the deck and it's coming together nicely. Tinnie is hard at work sorting out manufacturing and we are on track to release our debut game early next year. Tea. #smallbusiness #cardgame #boardgame

I'm illustrating one of our new card games as hiring an artist has proven too expensive for our initial budget. I won't lie, I haven't really drawn much in a long time and currently hate everything I do.

The secret is slowly coming out of the bag right now. My latest (and massively exciting) venture is here. A friend and I have been working on a boardgame company and currently have a few projects being worked on. This BTS is likely to be our first ever self published game.

Well the person on Etsy who reported my skull decals to Sony has finally won. My shop has been suspended and to be honest I'm not even that bothered by it. I'm going to take it as an opportunity to focus on the new business.

Apologies for being gone for a while. A mixture of huge deadlines at work then dropping my phone in the washing up. On the plus side I have a new phone mostly up and running. I've also been super busy with a new big project which I've started with a good friend of mine. News soon on that one.

I'm not posting as much lately as I'm just very busy and no space left for anything. I've been doing some more restoration of the kayak and found under the flaking fiberglass join a nasty crack. This will go to the top of the list I think.

Currently reviewing my 34page report for my execs. I've been writing it pretty much non-stop for a few weeks now. I've printed it out as I can't stand reading on a digital display and grabbed my pastel highlights so I can find all the bs I've said 🤦‍♀️

Fergus @fergusmonster.bsky.social · 12/10/2025

I have officially started the restoration of my new Kayak. It was made by the previous owners parents in the 70s. Hand painted by his mum, this is called Bumblebee. Today was the first full wash in 20years followed by void filling with epoxy putty. I need to cut the seat out next as it's cracked.

Feels good to finally be able to work on this old dolls house for my daughter. We spent a while picking colours now that it's all primed white. She said the Snow Leopard Sylvanian Family is moving in so she wanted it to look cold. Mockup below.

Lots of people are sick in the house and work is crazy busy but I've managed to work on my bootleg cherry blossom gundam. I need to do a bunch of panel lines but it's come together very well and the waterslides are very pretty. Not bad for £7...

Currently experimenting with making my own panel liner. The kit I have is a copy of a limited edition kit but it's 100% ABS (yes it's a fake) so I can't use my usual panel liner. So far it's alright but I need to try adding more flow improver.
