To be clear though I do, generally speaking as a manner of policy, subscribe to the notion that Despair Is Not Wisdom. #PositionalStatement

By the way it's a casket, not a dildo. ...But eh, The People will *not* not see a dick. No. So like, whatever. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The latest digital teaser poster for Dune Part Three, featuring the casket of Hayt (the ghola version of Duncan Idaho). It does unavoidably look phallic.

I assume you're familiar with at least Word or Powerpoint (on Windows) or Pages or Keynote (on Mac)? Or even LibreOffice if you have to? You can make any table list pretty & legible so long as you keep to basic design principles I say... Another option I think is to use Canva..?

Absurdly comical considering the two most recent Vlogbrothers videos were about "commitment to the bit"... 🫠😵‍💫😅

Hey @scottmccloud.bsky.social what do you think of this framework for "natively published" webcomics on Bluesky/ATPtoto? (I mean sure it's a bit complicated/"in the weeds" for the typical comics creator who at best works regilarly with Procreate/Photoshop/Krita/Inkscape, but still though...)

(Oh and don't you worry your pretty little hearts I was also scrolling Threads and Mastodon at the same time.) (But not X though, hell no.) (Nor Instagram.)

I'm up at 4am again scrolling Bluesky. 2nd day in a row. I don't like where this is trending towards.

24 hours at a Waffle House is not enough to cause a person to die. ...Unless a brawl breaks out, in which case all bets are off.

To those of you absolute anti-fun grouches trying to gaslight us into thinking this incident is some kind of "AI fakery", I challenge you to disprove official Vatican documentation, multiple Instagram posts, and local news reports of the incident from May 2026. www.ewtnnews.com/vatican/phot...

Apropos of nothing in particular, a few years ago I made the following digital doodle...

A digital cartoon drawing of a canvas on a wall with the words "Digital Art" painted on the canvas; under the canvas is a caption in Times New Roman font saying, "This is not digital art." Made in 2021.

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

This reminds me of Moammar Khadaffi and his wild rambling at the UN GA in 2009... and Khadaffi was later ripped apart by an angry mob, years later... Now I'm not saying here that I think Trump "deserves" or "should be" ripped apart by an angry mob... but still though.

If any of all y'all reading this like absolutely hate Substack but wanna see the 'toon:

Ann Telnaes political cartoon: Donald Trump holding a handgun and pointing at street signs for Fifth Avenue and Free Press, speech bubble: "It is a threat to our national security, and must be stopped, now!" Behind Trump is the personal assistant and Trump's 'binky' Natalie Harp holding a box of bullets with puppy-eye adoration and hearts on her face & eyes.

On the other hand it does spend significant time highlighting how chauvinistic bureaucracy cost so much in terms of human lives, both sociopolitically and mental-psychologically, both at the individual level and at the community/nation-state level...

I'm kinda torn about Special Ops Lioness so far... On the one hand yeah obviously it's pro-state* copaganda porn... On the other hand... __ *not pro a particular state or system of governance, but pro towards the concept of nation-states itself and violently enforced sovereignty...
