When you have 36 to 53 hospitals (depends on criteria) and most of them are destroyed leaving only 17, the system is at the brink of collapse (half the beds, and during a "war") When it goes down again to 8, it's the "brink of collapse". And 4. And 1. I don't like the repetition, but it's correct.

I reread The Giving Tree recently, which is iconic, enduring and perfect. It is also a delicious 64 pages, with not a line wasted, and nothing to be added that would make it better. It is possible to do, and I just want us to start gently pushing back against the trend, demanding shorter books.

Think about how many times recently you’ve read a book and thought that it could have been shorter. So many books have parts or storylines that you can feel as you’re reading could have been cut. I prefer quality (of book) over quantity (of pages).

I believe we have gone too far as a society in letting writers get away with pushing out book pages. I see what you’re doing, going bit by bit, every book just a bit longer. Don’t get me wrong, I think some books can and should be eight hundred pages long.

Anna Karenina is eight hundred sixty-four pages long. This is not simply a Anna Karenina issue. It’s been a problem with books for a long time, but this is the one that has tipped me over the edge, and I’m forced to speak up. Just like what happens with War and Peace (I haven’t read it yet).

I have been forced to speak up. Society needs to act to rein in ridiculous book sizes Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would know by now that the book Anna Karenina is out. If I’m going to pay for a book, I need to be sure I’m making the right choice.

Amostra de 105 na verdade tem margem de erro de ~9,5%. O que para vários fins é muito, mas para outros é bom o suficiente. O problema principal nesse caso não é o tamanho da amostra, mas o perfil dos entrevistados. Duvido que se entrevistassem mil com o mesmo perfil daria alguma diferença.
