Well, this is new. A drawing I can't post to FA gallery. It started as a quick sketch last night and then it escaped containment to become a full fledged shaded draw. And hey, I can apparently sin just fine in non-furred flavour! [ #ferankeeart · #art · #nsfw · #totk · #zelink · #tloz · #zelda ]

Link and Zelda from Tears of the Kingdom under a large tree with green foliage.

Zelda stands facing the tree trunk, hands pressed against it. She wears a blue tunic with gold trim, a brown sash-style belt, and brown boots, with her pants pulled down to expose her bare buttocks. She looks back over her shoulder with wide eyes in an embarrassed expression.

Link kneels directly behind her on the grass, wearing a blue tunic, light pants, brown belt, and boots. His face is pressed between her buttocks, with both hands gripping her rear.

A small green Korok with a leaf mask peeks out from behind the tree trunk at the bottom left.

The background shows grassy terrain, bushes, and distant hazy floating structures under a bright sky

Tonight I sat down to make a sketch. Four hours later, the sketch had annexed neighbouring territories and declared independence. I shall post the results in a few hours, assuming they DO exist and I didn't just dream. One can't be certain. I've never yet managed to export a file from a dream.

Bluesky doesn't allow for long-format text in a post, so...

Field notes, on cause and effect.

Shari had brewed the potion from a book she found in her own shop. Someone, at some point, had shelved it between Practical Pottery for Patient People and Potent Portents for Potent Personalities, where it had remained unnoticed long enough to acquire a respectable layer of dust and several new ecosystems.

The title was Practical Potions for Practical Problems. The recipe promised stress relief. Shari followed it exactly. The colour was correct. The smell was correct. The taste was correct. The potion even fizzed in the prescribed manner. Everything, in fact, was correct right up until the effects arrived.

The problem was that the potion appeared to have interpreted "stress relief" as "removing uncertainty." Several months earlier, Shari had worried about the possible consequences of an evening which had, upon careful review, never actually occurred. (Another potion she had acquired from Nyah had a hand on that at the time); The potion solved this dilemma by ensuring the consequences existed anyway.

The book was infuriatingly silent on the matter. No warnings. No side effects. No helpful chapter entitled What To Do If Reality Takes A Creative Interest In Your Personal Life. It merely stated that effects lasted twenty-four hours.

Shari knew enough about magic to find this deeply concerning. A headache could last twenty-four hours. Blue skin could last twenty-four hours. Talking backwards could last twenty-four hours. A pregnancy, however, was not so brief of a temporary condition. Magic always demanded payment, and once something had been brought into existence it tended to develop strong opinions about remaining there. Things sold could not easily be unsold. This was true in ordinary commerce, and doubly true in the Night Market.

Which left Shari standing in her shop with a bottle of the remaining potion in one hand and a rapidly expanding list of questions in the other. Neither was proving especially useful.

I meant to do something for mayternity. Then the Hands Nation attacked. I've arrived fashionably late instead, which surely still counts. This character's been rattling around my head for months; naturally, her first picture is non-canon. [ #ferankeeart · #art · #furryart · #nsfw · #mayternity ]

Shari stands, holding a bottle of something blue. Whether medicine, a potion, or a failed attempt at soup is not immediately apparent. The liquid glows with the confidence of a substance that expects to become someone else's problem. It probably will.

She's a faun, which explains the curled horns, hooves, and general difficulty of buying trousers. Her coat is russet with a cream-colored zone running from her muzzle, all the way through her torso, and down to her inner thighs, her eyes are green, and her hair white fading into purple at the ends. A gold earring swings from one ear.

An oversized lavender sweater draps off her shoulders and stretches around her pregnant belly. The garment appears to have surrendered several weeks earlier and is now merely accompanying events.

Behind her, a neat arrangement of gold lines and symbols suggess scholarship, magic, or a decorator with a fondness for geometry.

Shari herself seems less interested in any of those things than in reaching the end of the day without being asked unnecessary questions.

Apologies for the AWOL. I seem to have caught a case of hands again this last week or whereabouts. The damn things flare up, settle down, then return like unpaid creditors. Working when they permit it, glaring at them when they don't. This is the life now. More art soon, knock on (morning) wood.

I can hear colours and smell geometry. The mosquitoes have stopped flying normally and appear to be negotiating with me personally. One of them just hovered in front of my face asking for terms. I refused and punched it in the face. Mine along for good measure. Served them up a buffet, didn't I?

If y'all come in in the morning and find me lying boots to the ceiling and twitching faintly, 'twas the insecticide. I have abandoned conventional warfare and entered the chemical age. The can insists it is "not harmful to humans." This is encouraging news which I intend to bring up at the inquest.

Ramses and his ten plagues could pack up and go home. I have, in the last 29 minutes, slain seventy-two mosquitoes in hand-to-hand combat. I stand upon a pile of their corpses. Somewhere a trumpet ought to be playing. I now understand Gimli completely. “Twenty-one!” “Twenty-two!”
