Watching so many powerful people decide that Trump losing an election would be the end of it in 2020 was so infuriating. We do it again I'm going to go to Alaskan wilderness and wait for malnutrition to take me into the gentle waiting jaws of death.

Wasn't there a science fiction story about a space battle where the guys job was to change fuses for the laser beam and not get killed by having one give out while he was standing near one? I'm imagining that while someone with an AK is spraying lead like confetti at a child's birthday.

I think she's more or less able to recognize that I can move much faster if I'm already standing up than if I have to get out of a chair first. This is objectively true I'm old and my chair is cheap and unstable but it's funny that she recognizes that.

I've been feeding a feral for a decade. She initially wouldn't come near if you were standing up and could only be fed ballistically delivered bits of ham thrown from 5 feet away. I'm currently trying to get her used to a brush and tick drops so I don't have to medicate her at twelve miles an hour.

I (40M) felt like it was 80 percent of the way done and needed like fifteen minutes of extra footage and I really wish we'd gotten the full thing but I'm happy with what we got.

There's some overall length requirements as well as some technical navel gazing about how many places it has for your hands that lead it to have that weird little looped foregrip but can't have been a shotgun with a stock before, at least 2 feet long I think and some way to claim it's two handed

Hell if your only vehicle has a mechanical issue that means it can't run in stop and go traffic without destroying it and everything in the fridge is going to rot if the power drops what's $40 worth of beer and propane if the neighbors have hotdog buns? It's not ideal but it's not fully irrational.

I mean to be fair being a part of the Trump administration realistically doesn't hurt his chances to come back to Oklahoma politics to pick up some other cushy sinecure. Also he sucks and blows pretty hard so HVAC unit might be an interesting career pivot.

I have a secondary device that I use at work because I'm not connecting my personal phone to hr's Internet. It's a $120 dollar cheap android digital media player that I use for streaming. Occasionally one specific co worker will pick it up and ask if I'm aware I can afford a better phone
