I ended up buying him this one, cos his was red. Ma loaned him the money to buy it on condition he gave me his Strada because I'd just moved away for a new job.

Just came across a new clothing store, so thought I'd see if there was anything I might be interested in. I filtered on "shirts" and "trousers". Some of the items didn't seem to fit into what I would expect in either category. Then I had a nasty coughing fit at this page. Shirt or holiday???

I always wonder how Wordlebot comes up with its luck score. I use a different start word every time and pick subsequent words based on the results. I don't have 800+ 5 letter words stored in my brain in alphabetical order, so I use more skill in thinking of them than WB does in ticking them off
My Wordle solution compared to that of Wordlebot. Very similar, but I get a luck score of 49 v 42 for WB.

Our team won the hotel quiz night 🍾 One question was in which year was the Titanic's maiden voyage. A team member said 1914. My rebuttal was that the news of the Titanic was in the opening episode of Downton Abbey, but they didn't declare war until the end of S1. Also, I have the t-shirt!

Rather than do any of the things I need to sort out before Wednesday, I have spent the day cleaning hats. This is Pa's school cap. I'm guessing that the star, tassel and braid are because he was a prefect (Middle Bench). Or maybe his school won the World Cup?

Current reading. This was Bro's. Granny & Grandpa bought him this and Jennings and Darbishire, which I promptly read. I had them all from the library, but bought a lot for myself. Bro has recently returned them from his loft. There will be high jinks after lights out for a couple of weeks.

Pa's parents both worked for the railways & got free 1st class travel for life. I paid 17230 Virgin points to be one of 3 people in this 1st class carriage with a pretty nifty food & beverage service. Just had salmon en croute with celeriac coleslaw, sipping G&T. Coffee & shortbread next.

Odd day today. Took Pa to spend the rest of eternity floating off the West Sands at St Andrews. Then went to visit the late HMQ's private apartments at the Palace of Holyrood on the 4th anniversary of her death - tour excellently guided by Tim. Heading to Waverley now to get a train back to Rugby.

This train left Penzance at 11.30. You'd think they may have counted the number of coaches at some point. Given how many trains have been cancelled on this route today, it's going to be stuffed.

OTD 6 September 1976 I started Big School. I was in form Hg1D, Herring house, Mr Davis' form. There were 5 of us from my junior school. They put the girls in one house & the boys in another. I had been best friends with one of the lads & his mum gave me his sister's grammar school blazer.

So here we have an actual plausible reason for the recent "bombshell" "headline" "news". The media are trying their best to whip up some kind of interest. I'm not sure a US TradWife character will last long in Albert Square, but she probably fancies her chances in Strictly or Sleb Bake Off.
