A recent visitor to North Island showing the new bolt-on refueling system. The A-10 isn’t certified to refuel from the KC-46 yet, so the traditional boom system limited them to just KC-135s. Therefore...

Well, half an hour later it wasn’t quiet anymore. The morning wave consisted of two flights, in total 5 F-35’s went out. Not bad.

Found a better frame of this pass. Challenging light, but sweet to witness. Friday night, after giving up waiting for the bus, several F-16’s, and F-35 and a Spitfire took off for some unique formatio...

Next up was my favorite. The F-4 Phantom II of the Hellenic Air Force. With some much needed in your face burners… as if the day wasn’t hot enough!

Later on, end of the day, the light became iffy, as well as my arms 🙂 the 200-800 is a heavy beast and it became harder to get good results. This is the best I got from a really nice pass of a Belgi...

Lovely little planes, those Scooters, and we’re lucky they’re still flying around in Europe. Here’s a photo dump of my favorite. This plane alone made the whole ordeal worth it on "Fry"day…

I only ever saw one live F-106, from a distance taking off from Davis-Monthan in 1987, I think it was a Montana ANG alert jet. I did get to Tyndall while they still flew QF-106s though, wish I’d been ...

Another JATO shot.

Finally out and about again. Lots of heat haze and bad light in the afternoon, but good to see and hear some fighter jets again.

NASA 926 returning from the Artemis II splashdown.

My first post here after quietly lurking for the past years. I have been a member of the old Fence Check ever since 2006 though. Happy there is a Fence Check around again. Well … there is not too much...

I watched a pretty cool immersive video today. Apple released a new short film in their 180 degree immersive spatial video format, documenting US Navy carrier ops aboard the USS Nimitz. Watching this...

RIAT 1998 was the only time I saw a TU-22, memorable not only for the aircraft but the departure when it held for a hour by the park and view crowd spewing engine exhaust over everyone, my eyes are st...

Some shots from my ride in a CA ANG C-17 at Santa Rosa Airshow in 2007. It was really amazing to sit there and witness the cool and relaxed way they flew this giant through the California skies, all i...

A QF-4E at Holloman AFB in 2005, after taking part in the Heritage Flight.

An oldy from either the 89 or 93 Edwards airshow, I’m regretting not marking some of my old slides now!
