WHO WANT ME??????? …..The police (I’m a wanted vigilante) ……my enemies (want to kill me)

Penelope was turned around when the ‘goon’ was kicked. Her eyes checking for anything out of the ordinary on one of the downed ‘criminals’. She looks back at the woman she just saved who just sprouted a statistic like it was nothing. “Hero? Nah. Like I said, just didn’t want to see someone getting—

Penelope had to bite back the urge to curse herself at the slip of the name. But the reaction of seeing a former friend…possibly a former close friend…after so long was just too strong to ignore. If she had the time to hide amongst the walking civilians to get past the now alert man, she would—

As the woman talked, Spider-Woman kept her eyes focused on every detail of what she could see so far. Half mask, some personality, a sense of the dramatic, sounds like her type of vigilante. +100 points in her book for non lethally taking the criminals down. “Know you? Don’t think we’ve—

Penelope couldn’t shake off this strange feeling about this whole scenario. Almost a decade in as a hero, you kind of build a special type of gut feeling. Like the woman she has just saved before her. The words sounded true, but her eyes….usually in a situation like this, the person is adrenaline—

Despite being told that the other was okay, Penelope still had a concerned look on her face. Just the type of person she is. “I’m all good over here. You might want to check the inside of your purse to see if anything is broken. If it’s within my power, I’ll try to replace it!”

A big sigh escaped her lips. Looking up at the stars with a small smile along her lips. She’s been put through the ringer more times than she can count. Especially the last two years. And yet, for the first time in a long time, hope reflected off those hazel eyes.

Funny thing was, in that little world, the Parker girl, her aunt included, was known around the way to be some of the nicest people you can come across. Her having a pleasant conversation with a mutant wouldn’t be out of the ordinary. Penny herself, looked bigger. Her height was now—

Penelope’s long, brunette hair was covering most of her face. The voice almost made her breath stop. Couldn’t be, right? Hazel orbs glanced at the speaker. Recognition instantly appeared in her eyes. “Yeah…it’s been a long time.” She definitely didn’t think visiting her favorite—
