Haven't read rules this year, but in the past some have specified that your scores for evals are taken into account when applying.

I've read a lot of scripts this year from aspiring writers. The biggest overlap I saw was failing to tie plot to character goals. Scenes were often clever ideas, not born of the protagonist's wants/needs. Maybe a module like 'how character drives plot'?

Easily one of the best films of the last 10 years. The restaurant scene with his old pal killed me.

LET'S START SOME INTERACTING!!! What's an underrated genre Christmas movie you love? I don't know many people who saw SILENT NIGHT. It's the contained, much more fun version of DON'T LOOK UP written and directed by a woman!!! #scriptsky #screenwriting #horror #scifi

Top 10 movies that sparked my obsession with filmmaking. 9. Pi was my first indie film. Again, completely changed my idea of what movies were supposed to be and opened up what they could be. Also the first time I realized you could make something profound on a small budget. #scriptsky #filmsky

#scriptsky #podcasting #books #film #screenwriting What book adaptation makes you wanna punch the people involved in the face? THE ROBBER BRIDE comes to mind -- why would you take Margaret Atwood's feminist thriller and insert a made up male character as the protagonist???

Sending some love for Meghan Park's MY OLD ASS -- it's wildly different genre, and written by a woman. Not many movies I saw this year were so specific -- and that's what makes a movie universal.

I always thought of this as the scene where Turner and Harron showed us the only glimmer of Bateman's humanity. Jean is the only non-appearance obsessed person he knows. She's talking to him about real life. He hears Evelyn's voice and is reminded that without Jean, everyone else is an Evelyn.
