When I started getting into art. I couldn't draw. I learned how by tracing images of Mew from a comic. Many still do trace other peoples work to grow initially. Yes the social contract requests we are upfront about this but. It only gets us so far to copy. Eventually we have to learn to create new.

Anyone who wants to replace us with it was always going to try with other things. Anyone who'd rather pay 50c for what would cost $100+ to make was never going to be your customer. We can adapt. We *will* survive. After all, we're the creative ones and they can only mimic us.

I had a thought recently regarding certain technological advances lately. For the record ive never been afraid of it, as an artist. I understand there are many industry jobs at risk right now. But it can only poorly replicate what we make. And only in the digital medium. We'll be fine.

I also highly doubt it would be something offended should the memory fade, even. It was appreciated, sincerely, whole heartedly. I'm sure it knows that memory isn't entirely something we can control.

I know that these.. Posts are gonna maybe lack the important nuance required and can be interpreted by a million strangers if I ever get bigger than my tiny little nook but. Know this: I am strong believer in Fantasy being safe in Fantasy, no matter how horrific it is to others.

Ive matured a lot, I like to think. But I noticed that also comes with the fact that I have to accept that not everything I wanna draw or write about is gonna be stuff folk wanna see exist in their spaces. And I respect that. From topics of abuse, violence, extreme kinks for the above. Etc.

I've always been shy. I try to keep in my lane, quietly waving my flags, quietly supporting things, making stuff that I enjoy making art of. Scared of teens on the internet having opinions on said things. But I'm getting tired of all that.

Its been a long journey and I have been making art and doing commissions, 90% of which posted to my discord server or TG archive chat thing. I'm just... still nervous about being so public. Lots of bad shit went down through the years, hell, not even about shit I expected either. Real eye opening
