The Dept of Interior claims that the algae in the reflecting pool is left over from rarely used pipes No. Painting the pool dark blue means that it absorbs heat much faster than if it were a light color. Warmer = faster algae growth That's why you don't see black swimming pools Science!

My girl nabbed a Nilgans today! Her older half-sis was with us and together they got 6 crows and the Nilgans. 📯🦅 We were invited by the hunters to this new (for us) area because they want to protect hares, Kiebitze, Rebhühner and other small birds/animals from the crows & magpies.

A bay and brown Harris hawk with an Egyptian goose in her talons, which she has just successfully caught. The hawk is facing right but looking left over her shoulder and sitting on a grassy field.
