Definitely somewhere between Sonic 2 and Streets of Rage 2. Honestly for the latter, Yuzo Koshiro’s talent and music and production elevated video games to art in my kid ears. Games from then on started being “cool” in addition to the Mario* beep boop that I thought games were *loved Mario too ofc
