The arctic tern flies from Iceland to Antarctica and back every year. It finds its same nesting ground each time. It can become 30 years old so in its lifetime, an arctic tern flies = from the earth to the moon three times. A tern weighs 120 grams, less than a small can of soda.

Been feeling a little cooped up and out of sorts lately, so took a long weekend, walked from Tillicoultry to Stirling, took the bus up to Kingshouse and watched the dolphins in Aberdeen.

The internet suggests there's now a weight loss craze for walking on treadmills in weighted vests. This seems a bit dystopian to me: backpacking without going anywhere.
