It's not that I don't like them, but I always regret updating major versions or trying out new frameworks before they've seen wide adoption in major projects. Upgraded to Next.js 15 the other day and nothing good came out of it. That and a few other horror stories from work.

Thanks! If the app succeeds, I definitely intend to expand it onto other social media too. You can use it for free on Bsky temporarily - once you sign in you'll be able to set up a monitor for your product and it will keep running for 48 hours. Perhaps it will find you a few potential customers😊

I did experience a few instances of leaving customers due to outages, infra problems, unreliability, issues that could be resolved by fixing tech debt but were disregarded. But obviously, every issue needs to be considered on it's own merit

But since it's usually corelation and not causation, it's hard to gauge. It's always a struggle to prove that it needs the most attention as without it any other action is futile.

This sounds like really solid advice in most cases, but I'm not sure health of the codebase has a place in it. To me, the lack of tech debt is an enabler. A problem in other areas may be corelated to tech debt, in which case it should get the most attention.

Aside from direct outreach, we're probably going to focus mainly on YouTube & TikTok, dev logs and short-form content. I feel like that's where the most relevant audience is. Side note: I've accidentally found your post through my monitoring app that solves a similar problem in another industry.

I see. I have the same experience with self-promotion on Reddit. It's a struggle there. It may be better just forgetting self-promoting altogether and focus on posting helpful content with hopes that people will go to your profile.

Both, one complements the other very well😊 Prototype the base app and the UI using v0, then move it to your project and refine it in Cursor/your IDE. That's usually how I work on things nowadays.

If one AI doesn't cut it, use multiple! Gen AI performs better when given one specific task. Pipe the output of one AI onto another and give it the next task. This is why multi-agent features like cascade in Windsurf are so powerful. #buildinpublic Example below 🧵 👇
