Fearless! @fearless1957.bsky.social · 19/09/2026It's the media coverage that dramatises/sensationalises what would otherwise be routine family fall outs. Thinks! An idea for a game show? 🤔 010
Fearless! @fearless1957.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Well that advert must have worked on my Dad! My first holiday recollection is of the camping coaches adjacent both the sea & railway station at Abergele. Guess therein lies my interest in railways & the seaside! 110
Fearless! @fearless1957.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Caught the last few minutes of The Last Night of The Proms on television last night, and was greatly moved by the conductors address to the auditorium. The music that then followed (Jerusalem), & with the auditorium as one voice, seemed to have so much more significance. Authentic Integrity 👍 000

Fearless! @fearless1957.bsky.social · 06/08/2026So why do I, or anyone else, try to make reasoned argument via Social Media? 🤔 (OK, I haven't the time or inclination to make a "vox pop" 😉) 000
Fearless! @fearless1957.bsky.social · 06/08/2026Sadly the "vox pop" genre is too easily scripted, enacted & manipulated to carry the credibility required to actually change entrenched opinions. The points made are, in my opinion, valid - and inconvenient for any "scrollers" who just label it as "fake news" 000

Fearless! @fearless1957.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Understood - but it is more likely a case of priorities (small amounts of money can usually be found) To me "The Transport Hub" was a flagship (dare I say Vanity) project. A smaller, cheaper, structure could have fulfilled the same function with sufficient funding for any security roles required 100
Fearless! @fearless1957.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Fair point - but why "spaff" transport users money on a grandiose building with a specific purpose if you then prevent it's beneficiaries utilising the facility? The cost of any security, reletive to that of the building, has to be miniscule 100
Fearless! @fearless1957.bsky.social · 22/06/2026It sort of defeats the objective of a transport hub, that was meant to be central to the regeneration of North Shields. Why not "man" the transport hub, to prevent the behaviour? Too obvious?? 100

Meanwhile, if you needed to sit to wait for your bus, you were effectively under curfew; if you could stand, you'd have no respite from sun or rain; & you wouldn't find out until you got there. 2143
Fearless! @fearless1957.bsky.social · 21/06/2026.....& therein lies the problem. Too many politicians have tiny minds & couldn't see the potential for self harm & cannot read the current majority in the room 000

Fearless! @fearless1957.bsky.social · 09/05/2026Indeed. A situation made worse in some areas as Social Care is not centrally funded. Thus regions disadvantaged by the (southern friendly) Barnet formula, have to find more via local taxation ( council tax ) 040
