as for the claim of "making excuses", if were regarding the specific wording of survivors.org here, where it says the person "shrugs it off, downplays it, and insists that the person is a good person", flora throughout the entire article is very much not downplaying it nor shrugging it off.

survivors.org rape apologia, specific section reads:

"Making Excuses

When they or a friend get accused of inappropriate behavior, they shrug it off, downplay it, and insist that the person who committed the act is a good person."

the second paragraph in the article opens with "that refuge no longer exists." nowhere here does she state that she believes the allegations were categorically false. factually, she states that they were plausible, but saying further that she did not want to believe them to be true emotionally.

The first 2 paragraphs of Flora's 33 paragraph long article on Jacob Geller. There are some highlighted sentences, which specifically read:

There is ready example of a marginalized creator being hounded for their shortcomings both real and perceived that's barely months old, if that. And I think we aren't really reckoning with how difficult it is for marginalized people to make art, or organize, or form communities in this environment.
