My left leaning views will always be left leaning, but sometimes when this publication (that features many different authors at times) talks about the more radical of the left spaces their language is disingenuous and often not giving them any grace or understanding. Example in the photo:

bastardizing others religious/cultural practices.
That is simply it. Don't fetishize/sexualize it, don't do ceremonial shit because it's cute.
There's a purpose for these things.
I don't agree with not being able to dress like Pocahontas (from the Disney movie) or Moana, lilo, or mulan, but this language makes it sound like cultural appropriation is attacking any sharing or partaking of culture respectfully.
We've been blending cultures for decades.”
