I've been dreaming for this tool for a while, but here it is: I can now use multiple custom hashtag #diy devices within #unity, use them as game controllers, with reliable detection and reconnection behavior. This is just what's behind a demo I'm working on, I'll tell you more very soon ;)

Those designers proudly saying in meetings that they found an idea by themselves among the 10 others that ChatGPT suggested. My job doesn't make any sense today.

Imagine this was just a "right-click > assign references" based on matching names (even from the AssetDatabase) and, so artists and designers don’t have to install and run obscure CLI.

My current thought: When a person is making progress in life, it starts to see everything as more beautiful. But when someone is stuck in a standstill, with nothing moving forward, they tend to fall into ego and feelings of jealousy.

It’s always a bit rough to accept that a shitty minigame for a commercial operation made in a week will have more players and success than all our prototypes done in 4 months at minimum :/

I finally managed to release a boosted version of our package Broadcaster, a type-keyed, intent-driven event bus for Unity that ships with wonderful tooling! More here: side-xp.github.io/unity-broadc... Feel free to ask questions or send feedbacks about it, I'm quite proud of that one! 😎

I just retrieved an old Unity tutorial that teached me the basics of the engine 12 years ago! I think I'll use these assets for the demo of my next tool. Like a tribute, I guess :) learn.unity.com/course/inter...

That's... very accurate. I feel like I'm fighting against the same CSS and JS issues for 15 years. And I'm not even talking about compatibility and differences between browsers! But the tooling is actually good. So despite having more debugging sessions on web, they are at least more peaceful.

Spent some time reviewing my 10+ years old Unity library with a little AI help. Found typos, a few bugs (nobody's perfect), and added a lot of automated tests. It also uses my Instadoc tool and custom Zensical theme for clean docs. A marvel! 😎 Have a look! side-xp.github.io/unity-core

I was tired of my documentation websites looking bad. So as a logical follow up to my Instadoc tool, I moved from MkDocs to Zensical and made a custom theme. Site: side-xp.github.io/py-zensical-... Repository: github.com/side-xp/py-z... (includes a guide for making a Zensical theme yourself 🙂)

Back to tool dev :) You can generate API documentation from any C# codebase into Markdown with our brand new tool Instadoc. No compilation, no references, works in CI without friction. Available on NuGet. github.com/side-xp/cs-i...
