Today's GP motion doesn't mention annexation, Lebanon, Syria etc. It defines zionism as the creation and ongoing existence of a Jewish state, and it calls for an end to that. So again, when will the GP call for an end to Northern Ireland?

Yes, the motion specifically says as much in the second to last paragraph. This is against even the wishes of the majority of Palestinians.

Apart from anything else, a majority of Palestinians support a two-state solution. As does the Palestinian Authority. The GP is demanding those views be ignored.

The Green Party has recently been spending £1million a year defending 'unwinnable' discrimination claims revolving around its treatment of gender critical members. Now it looks like the party might be taken to the cleaners by Jewish members too...

It's some degree of protection, but nothing is ever going to be a perfect defence in a nuclear world. The debate is about the GP's attitude to zionism, and I think it's very telling that they don't comment on the ethnonationalist policies of UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Turkey etc. Only about the Jews.

I think zionism stands apart from other 19th century nationalism by virtue of several of the world's nations trying quite hard to wipe out the Jews.

It's impossible to believe the choice of language wasn't deliberate. Clearly there are terrible things being done by Israel, but anyone demanding that those things be the very definition of zionism is obviously motivated by antisemitism.

It goes further than that, giving a definition that describes a particularly racist approach to zionism. The obvious issue is that 'normal people', including most Jews, would adopt your rather reasonable definition but the GP is fudging things to make that reasonable definition seem racist.

Green Party Women were denied a stall at the party's conference in Brighton and had to meet outside. Anyone would think that those who ostracised them were afraid of the truth about sex and gender. The Greens aren't the only party to have denied women a platform. It's all rather childish.

She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.

It's a signifocant problem if you accuse any and all old-school feminists of transphobia. It's perfectly possible to want fair treatment for trans-identifying people without throwing women under the bus.

The GP has also decided to prevent the Green Women's Declaration from attending the party conference. Ie, a group of feminists who believe that biological sex is at the root of women's oppression aren't welcome.
