FastNetMon was built out of necessity, not to launch a business. Pavel Odintsov watched attacks escalate from once every six months to five a day. The cheapest scrubbing solution had 10G capacity; attacks were already over 45G. So he built something vendor-neutral, cheap, and rack-compatible.
