Do y’all actually have people in your feed who say this? So glad I don’t have your algorithm.

They are not “rights” because the law says they are not. Laws can be changed, and may be different in other jurisdictions.

It’s always projection isn’t it? You are claiming that I’m stamping my feet when you’re the one getting fact-paddled by your own sources.
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
Your sources proved me right every single time, that’s why the only thing you have is name calling, as if “walmart luddite” were some kind of clever insult. Oh no the pseudo intellectuals of bluesky think I’m going to be left behind, I’m literally shitting your pants right now!
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
You should actually look into the Luddites and what ended up happening with textiles in that time, maybe you could stop being wrong about everything.

faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
I’ve been right about everything so far, you are the only one heaping factual error upon factual error. Besides linking sources that prove me right because you either didn’t read them or you lack reading comprehension…

What’s a walmart ludite? Where does walmart come into it?

If course I’m not original, I am right, and merely saying the same things that any rational observer would point out.

No it is overall AI. Obviously the circlular deals are just how AI companies artificially inflate their revenue, which helps inflate their share prices, and is just one sign of a bubble.

faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
It’s ironic that you assume that AI critics are boomers when boomers are the only ones who like the multi-armed veteran Jesus on a plane images. That’s why I assume you are a boomer, you must enjoy Facebook slop but don’t understand anything about the underlying technology.
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
It’s a bubble because the financials are wildly unsustainable and to a large extent are circular flows of promised future transactions between companies in the industry. The details of this have already been rehashed a thousand times, see all of that for more information.
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
If you think it’s not a bubble then you should give Ed Zitron a listen. And if you really don’t think it’s lowering quality in spite of the evidence all around us, all that’s left to say is “ok boomer”.

faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
What are you talking about? Where does Walmart come into this? I’m not against technology, I’m against lowering quality & increasing costs, like AI & 3d printing do. Actually disrupting innovation like today’s cheap solar are lobbied against by fossil interests, not turned into a bubble like AI.

100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
That’s what the 3d printing proponents were claiming at the time, this is just accurate history, sorry that facts hurt your feelings.

The Chinese facility was for training students, it said so in the video. Did you even look at your own sources? Very boomer thing, linking sources assuming they agree with you when they don’t (or when it’s just more complicated).
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
How come all your specific examples come from pentagon boondoggles or a facility for training students instead of actual manufacturing?
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
The original hype was that it would *replace* factories. Do you not remember the breathless media coverage when 3d printing first became famous ? Your own source confirms that it’s mostly used for prototyping, while factories still dominate the actual production.
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
I never moved goalposts. Your examples are all experimental and prototyping, for mass production purpose made machines are still better than general purpose printers. People making their own stuff are hobbyists and would not be competitive with factories.
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
Ironically it being used in factories instead of everyone printing their own products does actually disprove what the original hype was claiming.
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
Interesting. But it says that the majority use it for prototyping, where flexible implementation trumps cost, while it continues to lag in mass production, where efficiency is king.
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
Some factories experiment with it, many cannot use it. Highly depends on which product they make.
110
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
Shenzhen also has a lot of factories, probably more than 3d printing places.

Yes its a hobby. The Chinese economy can rest easy, its manufacturing dominance is not endangered by 3d printers.

faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
Market where the opinion of the users don’t matter because they are ordered to use the product whether they like it or not, and where cost effectiveness has only the vaguest relevance to purchasing decisions made by pentagon bureaucrats.
100
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
No it’s still niche, just featured in some pentagon boondoggles. The missile will function (and be cheaper) when they replace the panels with rolled metal ones. 3d printed walls are difficult to maintain, so it’s only good for temporary housing. Telling that the only market it succeeds in is the /
210
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
3d printing is widespread as a hobby. You should really look into the examples you cite: 3d printed housing is just regular housing with some 3d printing in the walls. 3d printed cruise missiles are manufactured, the only printed parts are the outer panels. Just pentagon $ for tech companies.
110
faster2draw.bsky.social @faster2draw.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
AI will end up like 3D printing once the hype dies down. Remember when the usual suspects claimed that it would replace manufacturing in factories? How did that turn out?

They were thin, even the original Italian fascists. That’s how they were able to get both traditionalists and their opposites who tended to be associated with the futurist artists on board. Also see all the German about-faces on races like the Finns and Japanese.

Perhaps the ability of this one in three to have their vote count in any meaningful way should be curtailed. Hard to see how this could be prevented from happening again otherwise.

1) No, I’m suggesting that the person who had both happen to has an equal (or perhaps superior) say. 2) Yes. And this is a well established psychological quirk of the human mind. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirm... www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/hidd...
