This tree sparks memories... 👀 (But also indicates damn fine coffee en route)

A circular sign on a building, red with a graphic and writing in white. The text circles the shape, saying "First Things First" at the top then "Coffee" at the bottom. The graphic depicts a tree, and says "est 2015" small at its base.

Read Dungeon Crawler Carl up to book 8. Listened to the audio books. Finally went and got the hardback version so I can do a third run... and get the DLC story 👀

Hi team! I submitted a bunch of titles back before the deadline, and I seem to recall that we'd hear back by 30th of April on if we'd been accepted or declined - is that the case please? 👀

After a busy week, it's been a pleasant day doing the fishing tourney on Rockay island 😅

A scene from Animal Crossing New Horizons showing a character holding a whale shark, standing on a beach. There's a rocky outcrop behind the character, with fishing equipment around. In the background is a wolf character who sucks at fishing.

Delighted to share the following: ✴️ I'm now a "Game Dev Consultant" at @indiebi.com ✴️ I'm now a Steam Partner, as "Big Haggis Energy", to eventually ship my first game ✴️ I made mince and tatties this evening :3

I have some good news to share, but I want to make sure the inks dried first before crowing about it. In the meantime, mini celebratory filth.

An open pizza box; a cheese pizza with one slice missing in the base, with a box of chips resting on the side, and a pot of gravy sitting in the bottom left of the inside of the lid. On the inside of the lid, the message reads "I've upsized this pizza. Enjoy!" with a large smiley face.

While all the Animal Crossing games have their strengths and weaknesses, Wild World remains my favourite. Largely due to the time of my life it fell in, but it's also the chunky graphic textures, the mild unhinged interactions (and rudeness!), and the simplicity youtu.be/OM33TiQKl7I?...

Despite being all over the place this year, I apparently still made a poo-load of time for gaming! @gogotowngame.com @onyourtail.games @kaizengameworks.com @505games.com

A "Wrapped" Steam screenshot for Endangered Key Deer. Shows 57 games played, 458 achievements, 624 sessions, 42 new games, with the top games being Crime Boss (32%), Suikoden (7%), On Your Tail (5%), Go-Go Town (5%), and Promise Mascot Agency (5%)

Thanks for the call out, Monzo 🥲

Screenshot of the Monzo bank app's 'Wrap', showing a computer mouse poking through an orange window made of coins and game controllers. Text reads "The legend of Oli and the insurmountable backlog. You spent more than most at Steam. You'll get through your library... eventually"

Oli Palmer 🍡 @fasckira.bsky.social · 15/12/2025

I had an unintentionally threatening promise from my bank that they'd send me a "wrap" of 2025 soon. Hated it last year, nothing like being told how much you spent on bills, coffee, and beer while you're surviving the Christmas stretch 🥲

Oli Palmer 🍡 @fasckira.bsky.social · 15/12/2025

As 2025 winds down, I realise I'm carrying more unprocessed feelings about the year than I expected. When structures change or disappear, it can leave a strange void: burnout, reflection, and noticing how quietly effort/recognition fades. No drama, just recalibration. Got a new hat today, though!

A close-up outdoor selfie of a man with a ginger beard and blue eyes, wearing a brown leather wide-brimmed hat. Australian outback is visible in the softly blurred background, and he's looking at the camera with a calm, faint smile.

In this day and age, they're pretty comparable to be honest - I'd just go with whatever one has a better deal going at the moment! "Back in the day", Id have said HP hands down - had so many issues with Alienware kit, but that was literally two decades ago now.

Oh absolutely! Not endorsing him, just the closest I can think to match, though if you follow the NHS route back, Attlee was probably the best? Admittedly my knowledge is shaky there though!

100

Oli Palmer 🍡 @fasckira.bsky.social · 05/11/2025

I think the closest we've had in recent times will have been Tony Blair, with the very least you could say was that he was consistent and managed to stay in power for longer than one term. He was big on minimum wage, trying to keep the NHS alive, and he had those Sure Start centres set up?

Please consider watching "Takopi's Original Sin". The show warns at the start of each episode about its themes of suicide, but even that just scratches the surface. An incredibly well written tale over 6 episodes about connections and toxic relationships, and I cried alot youtu.be/j7dxZjwIhu0?...

TIL that the 3rd Fast and Furious film, "Tokyo Drift" made the least money, like, awkwardly so - grossing half of the next least, "2 Fast 2 Furious" I feel this is a huge injustice, given it is the _best_ of the entire franchise. www.boxofficemojo.com/franchise/fr...
