Considering the Causes of Youth Aggression, the highly anticipated Rutgers JJYD course explores the reasons behind violent behavior in adolescents. The course is live on Zoom on Nov. 19 & 26, from 9 AM - 12 PM. Eastern Seats are limited, so reserve your spot today! REGISTER: bit.ly/48MBJW9
Considering the Causes of Youth Aggression from Rutgers Juvenile Justice & Youth Development Certificate Program explores the reasons behind violent behavior in adolescents. It examines the underlying motives and risk factors that increase the likelihood of violence, empowering participants to understand better the dynamics contributing to aggression. From negative reciprocity and dehumanization to class and status, participants will learn about the research related to aggression and how it affects adolescents today. The course also covers both proactive and reactive aggression, as well as developmental issues pertaining to adolescent violence.

Gain insight into how violence is used to resolve perceived grievances and the limitations of perception when assessing the likelihood of aggression. The course also addresses the impact of virtual and video game violence on adolescent development. It reviews verbal and non-verbal warning signs of potential imminent violence, providing the tools to intervene and de-escalate any situation. This course is essential for anyone looking to understand and prevent youth aggression.
