100%! Thanks for bringing that up! I was reading this book to my 4yo last year and this weird ending also really puzzled me. Like some half assed series, needing to hastily pull the plug. Couldn't find any morale either. Ok, stupid me was expecting something wholesome... but come on, what a letdown!
