Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 13/05/2026I did absolutely nothing right making this, so I'm very happy with how it came out! 020
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 12/05/2026I had my flu shot today at work. An hour later my fave started to itch, and now my eyes are swollen :( 000
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 04/05/2026Or of noise since one worked nights, etc etc. even though it's my house, nothing was really set up optimally for me. Now I can adjust things to work better for me, and it's just...good. 030
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 04/05/2026It's been over a week of living on my own and honestly I did not realise how much just...background stress I had coming from sharing my space. Its not that they (brother and his partner) were particularly difficult to get along with, more constantly aware of when people needed spaces 120
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 03/05/2026But like...for my first time doing anything bready, first time doing bagels AND of course I went with a protein bagel recipe instead of a normal one because that's how I am...I'm really happy with the result! 020
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 03/05/2026Ok so! I may have failed in getting the amount of starter I had right so I split it, fed half, and added some yeast in and crossed my fingers. 120
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 02/05/2026This may also have been partially motivated by me wanting something to eat my pate with that isn't carrots our hummus chips 110
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 02/05/2026I may have acquired a sourdough starter. I'm hoping to have a crack at bagels. I haven't made them before but I do love a good bagel, so... 140
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 01/05/2026I got another, slightly better video of one of my springtails. The red ones are bigger, slower, and don't jump. You can see movement in the background of some white ones but I haven't been able to get anything of them. I did notice a baby red one though! 010
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 30/04/2026Poor baby! I bet she'll feel a whole lot better soon though 010
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 30/04/2026On the plus side I got to watch this little guy having fun exploring #springtails #redspringtail #terrarium 010
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 30/04/2026Anyway, 5 hours after I was meant to finish the errors with how it was combining data sources have been fixed and it's reuploaded. I don't think it is calculating data correctly, but that is a logic issue with how the data is being used, and beyond what I was aiming to do 🤷♀️ 120
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 30/04/2026The report is a hot mess, and each thing we sorted unearthed another issue. This is because the person who initially built it added in datasets when they were still in refinement phase, not live so as soon as additional data was added it crapped itself 120
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 30/04/2026I'm pooped. An important report broke at work and my manager thought she may have found the issue but doesn't have power bi desktop. I do because I need it to do something no one else knows how to do (yes also concerning) so we got me access to the report and off we went 120
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 30/04/2026Just some fuzzy photos through condensation of one of my terrariums #terrarium #bioactive #springtails 010
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 26/04/2026My trip to ikea was successful but it turns out I have vastly underestimated the number of jars I will need 020
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/04/2026I also think my red springtails have been breeding in my lamp terrarium, which is exciting! They're fun to watch cruise around. I'd like to get some isopods but I'm not sure what size of a vessel they would need. Fish tank maybe? 010
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/04/2026Trimming encourages growth so if there's any life left in it that will help. I'm having some success with that method with a kokedama I'm trying to revive at the moment, but popping some fresh stuff in would be faster obviously 110
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/04/2026Had to trim this little baby back for the first time, the fittonia in particular was going bonkers. Unfortunately the base moss did not survive being posted for the most part - debating whether to trim, or remove and replace. 180
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/04/2026Tomorrow will be a run to ikea for an entertainment unit and food storage. Maybe some jars for terrariums 000
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/04/2026I don't have clinical pilates because public holiday which is probably a good thing, my right wrist is on struggle street today 010
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/04/2026i have finished clearing out the pantry and arranging it how I want it, and gone through cabinets to unearth more of my brother's things. I haven't braved the tupperware cupboard. I'm having a cup of tea while the vacuum does it's thing and trying to find the energy to paint the high window 🥴 110
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 22/04/2026I want to downsize, partially to reduce my mortgage and partially to reduce maintenance needed. I don't have the energy to keep up with the garden, which makes me really sad. If I can find a place with a courtyard and just do pots I'll be happy 010
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 22/04/2026It's a bit of a weird feeling because for the last...idk, 14 or 15 years I've kind of been Alex's safety net. A lot of the choices I've made in that time have been at least partially made with his needs in mind. He's in a stable relationship now though and I'm so ready to step back 110
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 22/04/2026As of yesterday my brother and his partner have moved out! The place looks like a bomb has gone off and they're still ferrying stuff across over the next few days, but step 1 has happened 110
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 16/04/2026Had another flare up so steroids again for me. When I was given the script the doc commented on how it's a waste since there's 30 in the bottle and I only need 3. I'm down to 18 now though so... 🥴 000
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/03/2026That's just for managing this, not including other health costs or incidental purchases made for pain management or support. $305 a fortnight/ pay cycle. I am lucky enough that I can afford it but jfc. What are people who can't meant to do? 4/4 000
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/03/2026What is frustrating is the cost associated though. Per fortnight: $150 for health insurance (primary reason is future proofing due to issues I now know are linked to this) $66 for physio (will be higher when I hit claimable limit) $15 for antihistamines $74 clinical pilates starting mid april 3/? 100
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/03/2026Long story short, found a doctor who specialises in chronic pain conditions. Have a diagnosis of HSD. Blood tests also had an 'uh oh' result for tryptase so I'm on daily antihistamines to try to manage that. Sucks but it explains a lot and I'm hoping will mean better management in the future. 2/? 100
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/03/2026Need to rant so jumping on here for a sec. I've had some health stuff going on for a while. It's stuff I've raised with my normal doc before but he was largely unconcerned/dismissive which is frustrating because he's generally been pretty good in terms of other chronic issue management. 1/? 100
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 14/07/2024I saw Twisters and it had the trailer for the next Venom movie in it, and Space Oddity was used heavily so I left the cinema a happy little camper~~ 000
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 04/06/2024Highlight of the last couple of weeks has been my little supervisor keeping me company during some very stressful work situations. 140
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 26/05/2024Divvy is being Divvy. She loves pats and starts rolling around on excitement sometimes, which makes giving her the pats difficult. Skye is puzzled by this behaviour. 030
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 10/05/2024Now because I am mostly WFH I can adjust my environment and depending on the severity adjust what meds I take, so a decent amount of the time I can work through or work part of the day. I have over a week of sick leave built up for possibly the first time in my working life. 020
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 10/05/2024Honestly though, WFH has made such a big difference for me. I used to have to leave as soon as I was sure I had a migraine developing because it would get to a point where I couldn't drive. At least one migraine a month meant I never had sick leave to use. 120
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 10/05/2024Benefit of working from home: when you feel crappy if you have no meetings booked you can just stay in your PJs, and use your lunch break for a nap. I may have plans for my lunch break. 120
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 09/05/2024There's been points here where you could be reported and fined for watering lawns, or cleaning cars other than windows, mirrors or lights. =/ I have lawn (pre-existing) but it gets rainwater and nothing else, and if it dies, oh well 010
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 09/05/2024I spent most of yesterday napping in a dark room but at one point I woke up and 🥹 they're becoming buddies! 040
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 09/05/2024Two weeks of this headache means I get to do x-rays, MRIs and blood tests again. On the downside the blood test is fasting (why is it always fasting) but on the plus side I will take myself out for brunch after. 🫠 000
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 06/05/2024We are at the point of co-habiting on the bed, and there have been some attempts at playing together and grooming from both of them :) 030
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 03/05/2024I am on day two with a migraine and I think it's starting to fade but not entirely sure. I also have an eye test in like four hours so that will be fun. 120
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 26/04/2024On the downside because I am working with roughly 100 different criteria in a form whenever I figure out how to do something I need to go through each one and make the relevant change 🫠 010
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 26/04/2024I am self teaching powerapps atm because it has a lot of potential for a key area I'm involved in at work which is both interesting and extremely tiring because my brain just does not like formulas. I have figured out how to do some cool things though! 110
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/04/2024Betsy looks like she has landed on her feet and knows it! What a gorgeous girl 🥰 020
Farsie @farseeker.bsky.social · 25/04/2024Yep, I researched it before even requesting a meet and greet to make sure I could give her the level of care she deserves! Thank you for the reassurance though, reading an article vs hearing it from another person with experience is a bit different haha 140
