I find Science: A New Golden Age both refreshing and strangely ahistorical. It correctly recognizes that the linear model no longer describes the world. But that insight is precisely why the story cannot jump from 1945 to 2026. open.substack.com/pub/mahmudfaro…

Pour la première fois, le CNRS a donné la parole aux citoyennes et citoyens sur leur rapport aux mathématiques. Lancée le 10 mars 2025, cette consultation nationale a interrogé la place des mathématiques dans la société et a ainsi pu identifier plusieurs leviers afin d’en favoriser la compréhension et l’accès. Cette initiative du CNRS s’inscrit dans le prolongement des Assises des mathématiques (2022) et contribue à la réflexion nationale sur l’accès aux mathématiques à tout le monde et à tout âge.
