It upsets me GREATLY that my kid's school cafeteria no longer serves food. WTF. Kids are more likely to go off-property for lunch. If they're even a few minutes late getting back, those students are marked as skipping. As of this year attendance/participation is 15% of a kid's final grade BTW.

Welp. My partner's insurance has moved to a mandatory generics policy for medications, and they're pissy that my doctor writes "no substitutions" on my controlled Rxs. This is apparently no longer good enough for them as proof that I "need" the name-brand, so they opted to just not cover it.

Friend gave us an old PC to repurpose, so I can finally move my media drive from Solaire into a poor man's NAS. Problem: I have now remembered my main drive died a few years back and a bunch of essential system shite got moved onto my media drive. This means the drive cannot be easily removed.

7 hours of fixes and some very numb hands later, I may have isolated Kev's catastrophic PC failures to... The power button. Just a stuck case button spamming the mobo. ANNOYING to bypass (screwdriver to the pins) but quite possibly one of the best case scenario causes. Even if it took 7 hours.

I love how my health repeatedly drains our bank account at inconvenient times. I love how OHIP doesn't cover a bunch because we have "private" work insurance. I love that the work insurance decides to not cover something correctly and takes weeks to get back to us when we try to fix it. I'm tired.

It would seem I got ahead of myself. 20 minutes later and the N64 hard-froze. It now turns on but refuses to send signal. From the smell of it, I think something internal didn't like being woken up. We've now hooked up my Gamecube and she's spun up the Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition instead.
