Recently, I've discovered that goats have been extremely useful since we first
domesticated goats. Goats feed us. Goats give us milk. Goats help protect the
land from invasive plant species. Recently, we've even begun to use goats for
landscaping. It's called goatscaping.

The ash branch had split and the backup branch was not thick enough unfortunately. Resawed some reclaimed oak and shaped it with a draw knife. Used my new shinto rasp to refine the shape. Lovely tool for that job! Finished with boiled linseed oil. #woodworking #diy

Cleaned up the axe head by first letting it soak in vinegar for a few days. Then used a wire wheel and finally did some sanding. Won't go any farther than this cause I like the patina. Sharpened it too. Next up the handle! #axe #woodworking

Found a piece of ash on the campsite that I'll try to use to replace the cracked handle. Debarked it with my son's pocket knife, the rest of the shaping will be done back home. #woodworking
