Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 23/04/2025Reset's Teletubbies 1997 might have a large swath of patches to fix things (hopefully not but I know how I am). Please stand by for updates. 000
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 23/04/2025Roblox Teletubbies 1997 will no longer be receiving any updates, and all future updates will be done in the new group, Reset's Nostalgiaverse (don't ask for an invite). There will be bumps cause this is huge and extremely sudden. 100
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 23/04/2025Reset's account has been compromised. We now are going in overdrive to get the game up and running on the new group. Everyone that has earned badges will still keep them, ofc. They will be given a golden border once the new Reset's Teletubbies 1997 is up. 121

Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 05/04/2025just in the same way that i can't justify the same price for a ps5/xbox series and one game i stuck with pc and have a switch for Nintendo's games, pure and simple, and overall i'm glad i did that that $600+ cad price tag was just not worth it for me to get the next xbox 010
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 05/04/2025the biggest problem i have is the pricing for the games mario kart, totk and Kirby are 80 usd on switch 2, so probably 90-100 dollars canadian a 20% increase in price that immediately doesn't feel worth it after taxes a switch 2 plus mk is gonna be over 800 Canadian, and i cannot justify that 110
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 05/04/2025Looking at the cost of the console, considering (at least how it seems) that it's a portable version of the xbox series/ps5, with slightly worse power for 50 dollars less, with everything else it has, the console itself has some decent value. I have an issue paying 630 cad for one but still 110
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 22/02/2025Of note: The last one is not in the game yet, but will be there in our March update. 020

Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 18/11/2024Maybe it would've helped if I looked at the timeline of events. (Say the line Benji) These DVDs were the first to ever be released back in 2001. PBS must've wanted to keep using the same format as Baby Animals for consistency while the BBC went for something totally different for their releases. 021
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 17/11/2024The layout transition animations and even the boxes for each selection are almost identical to many of the US DVDs from around that time, so that's why I think so. The next question I have is "Why?" This is not the first DVD to release in the UK so why copy it from the US menu? Preference in design? 020
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 17/11/2024Now why in the holy hand grenade did I take you on this tangent? Because there was one question that I had when I first knew of the UK menus. Was the UK's menus based on the US's or was it the other way around? Based on how many similarities there are to the US menus, I think it's the latter. 120
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 17/11/2024You'll also notice the omnipresent PBS Kids logo in the bottom left corner of every DVD menu. This is consistent with all DVD releases in the US, and makes me believe that PBS had some sort of mandate for these DVDs. 110
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 17/11/2024The other notable change is in the special features. The UK version has an extra option, "Come and See Animal Fun". It's basically just more animal TV Events. The US Version includes a small documentary in "Information for Adults", where the "Other Titles" option now lives as "Video Previews". 110
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 17/11/2024The actual design is basically identical between regions. Minor changes are made to the names of menu selections and the US version has a separate menu for Language options while the UK version has the subtitles option on the main menu. All US DVDs feature the US Dub and the UK Dub (named Canadian). 110
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 17/11/2024In doing that big thread about fonts, looking at Baby Animals/Animals Big and Small reminded me about how bizarre it actually is. For this I'm mostly talking about the DVD menu/bonus content on the DVD. For starters this is the only DVD to feature the same menus in the UK and US with slight changes. 110
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 16/11/2024The one I'm still currently looking for a precise lead for is the font used in the first UK release of Here come the Teletubbies and Dance with the Teletubbies. Personally I think some variant of Woodrow is the closest guess, but there are so many differences that I can't put a pin in that. 010
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 16/11/2024As for some of the favorite things, the giant e is clearly inspired by VAG Rounded, but has slight differences cause, ya know, it's handmade. The giant 4 is of an unknown font, possibly just made on the fly, thus not having a font associated with it. 110
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 16/11/2024I take that last bit back, Helvetica Hebrew is used in all of the US DVDs for the subtitle options. 110
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 16/11/2024One DVD that is the most inconsistent with the rest is Animals Big and Small/Baby Animals. VAG Rounded is used a lot but moreso Helvetica Hebrew (for the subtitles text) and Helvetica Rounded (for most of the menu options). On this DVD, if it's clearly not VAG Rounded it's Helvetica. Weird. 120
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 16/11/2024The one that I went on a goose chase for is for the end credit fonts. After some extensive digging, I can almost definitively say that the font used is called Arial Nova. Regular on the titles, and bold for the names. The rightmost image is a recreation I did in Word. 120
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 16/11/2024The big one that's not a well kept secret is for VAG Rounded. This font is used for the tape name on all VHS releases and is the font used on the numbered lights on the Control Panel. It is also used on many Video release cases, DVD menus and is also used for the Christmas Countdown doors. 120
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 16/11/2024One wouldn't expect that finding exact fonts for Teletubbies would be that interesting of a subject. But here we are. One of my Discord server members sent us on a wild goose chase for ID'ing one of the fonts used on the show. In this thread, I will go over most fonts used throughout the series. 140
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 08/11/2024Don't really see much of a point. I'd say the cool part is seeing them in a video proper, not some unfinished assets (let's face it, greenscreen videos very much are). This goes doubly so for our ingame stuff. I won't ever go after it (why would I) but I have to admit that I don't fully get it. 010
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 08/11/2024I get the feeling not that many people making these videos actually understand why you'd want to make greenscreen template videos in the first place. It's an offshoot of an obsession I won't fully understand. Like, I had to make greenscreen clips for my old MC videos but I would never publish them. 110
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 08/11/2024I will however never say that Voice Trumpet Greenscreen videos are really that great. Ever. I remember talking to some people outside of the fandom once, I brought up these videos to them and they asked "Does anyone use them?" I chuckled and said "No." 110
Teletubby Fan @fanteletubby.bsky.social · 08/11/2024While I'd argue that VT Greenscreen content is the most... questionable style of video in this community, I've gotta admit; seeing so many people use our game's renders interchangeably with the actual show VTs is quite special. All thanks to SebbisTurret for those models of course. 110
