Okay, sorry still :P The mistreatment of people based on how they look is awful, and the art is really well made (I really like how sketch-y the art looks). But I saw the mention of brown looking different when surrounded by other colors and my one neuron activated 😞

The exact same thing applies to the color pink as well! It's actually bright red! I just like colors and think they're neet. I apologize if this was insensitive considering the originalsubject matter :P

I know this is NOT the point you were trying to make, BUT, that's how the color brown as a whole works We only see brown as brown because of the colors around it. If you were in a pitch black room with a single monitor with just the color brown, then you would see dark orange!

totally understandable, for me it almost feels like a version of hollow knight I can actually ENJOY (For clarification, I think hollow knight is a master class in game design, the movement is just painfully boring for me personally) Let me know if you need any more walls of text analyzing games XD

Also this is coming from someone who has been enjoying the game (up to grimmor thus far) and has been enjoying thr harder challenge. It's super toxic towards new players and feels like you're stuck on a permanent hard mode. Also it just makes you feel super weak when enemies take 22 hits to kill lol

- but rewards you for playing well. Which is kinda backwards. It leaves struggling players struggling with no way to recover. ex. Losing money on death (yes even though you can pick it back up) can be punishing, but it's 10x so when money is SO VALUABLE and hard to get compared to hollow knight.

I find it's punishing for many reasons past the damage. Progression is REALLY slow, like my gf was VERY far in the game and had gotten a total of 2 up upgrades and one nail upgrade. On top of that, it feels like the game has a LOT of systems that push you hard if you mess up -

- but squeakross doesn't go "oh you just beat your first 10x10 ever? Well here's a 20x20!!!" Instead it eases you in slowly with stuff like 15x5 or 20x10, as well as still having easier puzzles later on to give you breaks. It makes the difficulty feel smooth and relaxing Instead of stressful.

Also I love the difficulty curve. Most picross game, if not ALL other picross games, simply go from 5x5 -> 10x10 -> 15x15 -> 20x20 And, especially as a new player, it feels like the game goes from understandable to borderline impossible within the span of like, 2 puzzles -

Totally agree with the sentiment. I like to think I'm pretty decent at picross, and normally I would never use any hint system. But squeakross's assist options vary in how much they help you and the game doesn't make you feel bad for using them, so even I use the assist features from time to time!
