It's the only main 2D game unavailable on Switch, so do you think we'll see a port/remaster this generation?

Hi, I wanted to share this with you all. This is a channel a friend of mine actually sent me initially back then (the first video he sent me was his breakdown of the Nintendo vs Palworld lawsuit which you can also find on his channel). He makes very well-researched long-form videos that tend to...

I know weve heard of them starting to implement this or that, and theyve said they wont use gena.i. assets in the games themselves but it appears they have implemented this dangerous technology everywhere else. If you need a small primer on why this tech is so much more problematic than others...

Thought this was a fun watch Long story short, from my eyes it had a low resolution screen and was weaker than Gamecube/PS2 in raw power, but was much more modern and could do effects that the big consoles couldn't.

Any takers? You’ll have the hearts and minds of the family boards 🥴 Really though, is this going to happen? I suppose the obvious thing isn’t always the thing that comes to pass though. It also doesn’t seem that Metroid prime remastered set the world alight despite its quality (although it was...

What’s on the menu this weekend, Fam? I have a pretty busy weekend ahead. Saturday, we’re attending our nephew’s birthday party and, afterwards, going to the state fair. Any gaming I can fit in this weekend will occur late Saturday night and Sunday. Still working on Dark Souls 2 & Demon’s...

Mine is Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia! The first thing about him I want to highlight is his super striking design. His red attire is simply iconic and him wielding two swords at the same time will never not be cool to me. Who can forget his spiky brown hair either? And throughout the...

When speaking about remasters (not remakes) which is the most impressive, the least impressive and the most mid?

We are in Week 2 of our Starter Pokemon Polls! For those who missed it; Every week I'll open a poll that will last for 7 days where we vote on who our favourite starter Pokemon of the generation is! The winners of each group will advance the final round where we do one mega poll of all the...

Alright! We're now probably about a month and a half away from the nominees being officially revealed, so it was time for the poll to get its annual refresh. A lot has happened since the last poll was first posted, but what remains the same is that there a great deal of games fighting it out for...

The time has come for Gabe Newell to buy another boat so Steam is running another sale. Here's a few things I do during these sales that may help people: Use your wishlist. Do not go looking for games that are not on your wishlist. Do you really want to spend $70 bucks on a few games while...

I think these might have been my biggest childhood gaming mystery. What are the triangle corners doing, and why do they have different colours? Apparently it’s a PAL region thing to specify the regions copies of games are for, going by this chart Have any of you ever wondered what the...

It was basically guaranteed after the game's absence at the latest SOP, but it's confirmed now. There's a blog post with some new info. https://blog.playstation.com/2026/10/01/kena-scars-of-kosmora-launches-2027-ember-lab-shares-story-overview/

Last week, everyone went off to the races! Derby Stallion 2, the newest entry in the long-running horse racing series (despite the name, this is the 25th installment) took number one! Rhythm Heaven Groove and Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave were close behind to take second and third, but those...

Probably a strange question, but I was curious. Since getting the Switch 2, are you perhaps focused on getting games that take advantage of the hardware? In my case there's still loads of og Switch titles I'd like to play.

My whole adult life, the availability of Genesis/Mega Drive games has been part of the background radiation of the universe. That last one, the one they put out in 2018? That was pretty good. It seemed to work pretty well. I liked having them! But back in 2024 they got delisted, apparently...

So, just started replay Star Fox Adventures on GC Classics, for who just started to play first time, what you think of the game? For who is replaying the game, your opinion changed about it? I think is a good game, not great, with memorable music, visual great for time and good world/characters...

Video game music is quite unique as most of the time the music you get officially is different from in game audio. One obvious example is Phantasy Star Online. The games have two themes with transition, the quiet version and the battle version with unique transitional music depends on which...

INTRODUCTION For nearly 2 years I've been running this series of threads where I've asked Fami users to submit Top 10 lists. The original focus of this was to do GOTY retrospectives but I had so much fun doing them that I decided to spin it off to doing Top 10 lists for a variety of other...

In a quite surprising twist, the Middle-earth saga, consisting of two games, was recently announced for Switch 2. These games already came out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Shadow of Mordor is also available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. What: Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle (Middle-earth...

After playing some Panzer Dragoon II: Zwei and just getting into Sin & Punishment 1, I decided to make a thread dedicated to such an addicting arcade genre origin. I noticed that my Switch 2's right Joycon's ZR button now makes an annoying squeaking or creaking sound when it or a button around it is pressed. It doesn't affect the controls but it's quite distracting. Anyone else have this issue, and if so, do you know of an easy way to fix it?

With the announcement of the Switch 2 edition of Pikmin 4 in the most recent Direct, and me being... pretty disinterested and disappointed in it (can't say I really have any urge to play more Dandori challenges, or give Oatchi voice commands), the urge to replay Pikmin 4 that has been popping...
