iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I know it's been said a million times but the Sims community on BlueSky is so much kinder and just wonderful compared to twitter. I feel like this is the golden age for our community in this space right now and I love it. 😭

If you’re afraid that books might change someone’s thinking, you’re not afraid of books, you’re afraid of thinking.

Also in fanfics and stuff when the character was named y/n did you insert your name or was y/n a character in your head

Every time I read about banning books, I think of this: Reading a book with a gay character will not make you gay any more than reading a book about Einstein will make you a genius. If you're afraid that books might change someone's thinking, you're not afraid of books — you're afraid of thinking.
