The learning curve is also real gentle. It's very intuitive and encourages exploration.

Tbh, it's an easily portable, fully functional Digital synthesizer with 4 track recording. It's become my new favorite companion so I can experiment anywhere, not just in my studio. It also gets along nicely with my Novation Circuit Rhythm. I don't think the OP1 is mandatory but it's fun!

I dig that it has 3 oscillators. You can do some pretty good stuff with it~

If you had to pick just four to cram in a rack, the top four I mentioned are great!

6. Volca Keys. (Pretty good analogue synth for the money!!) 7. Volca Beat (it's a drum machine~ simple as that) 8. Volca Mix (good as a mixer but quiet) Honorable mention Volca Sample: an okay sampler but I already had a better sampler so I traded for the Bass. N/A Volca Modular Eh...

Rating all of my KORG Volcas because I CAN. 1. Volca Drum, Digital percussion synth. (The filters on this are wild) 2. Volca FM. (Transpose slider rules) 3. Volca NuBass. (The tubes really do be screaming) 4. Volca Kick (surprisingly powerful for just kick!) 5 Volca Bass (wicked acid)

On the right is a pair of KORG KP3 sampler that have a KORG Opsix FM synth and a microphone put through a Boss VE20 for vocal processing patched in. That set up is on one of the 2 channels of the mixer which cross fades between the loopers and a Novation Circuit rhythm

Hello new followers! Let me break down my kit for you~ On the left is a Novation Circuit Tracks which MIDIs any two of the Volcas below in addition to its 2 internal synth engines and 4 drum tracks. It also features the Volca beat, kick and drum for additional percussion.

Quick demo of how the loop station is set up. Circuit rhythm and Korg Opsix into dual Korg KP3 samplers with a boss VE20 for voice modulation and a 2 channel mixer with a crossfader.
