If you're looking for a hand, micro search and rescue is literally my job ^^

They are quite fashionable. Gotta let the toes breathe!

Passing you, the skunk rummages through the first-aid supplies Grace is unpacking, pulling out a micro-sized pair of exam gloves, apparently ready to help with your treatment. "Like I said," Grace says with a soft smile. "You're home safe now."

Another woman, a skunk of similar size as you, but maybe a head taller pushes out of the house, shooing her kids back inside before walking your way. She and the binturong share smiles and nods. "We got room for an overnight?" Grace asks. The skunk thinks, then nods. "Yeah, he can use the attic."

By the time she returns, the day has taken enough of a toll on you that you try to ask about the houses, but what comes out is a mumbled, "...home? ...safe?" Tilting her head, she smiles. "Don't worry. You're safe. This home is safe." Several curious faces peek out the door of a nearby micro house

With practiced slowness, she stands up and transports you to a large-to-you, modest-by-normal-standards house just a few minutes away by her stride. Once inside, she gets you comfortable on her kitchen counter while she retrieves a first aid kit. Several micro houses share nearby counter space.

Eyes blurring with tears, you nod. As the adrenaline rush subsides, you just feel...exhaustion. Leaning forward with care, she lays one hand palm up on the ground before offering the finger of her other hand as mobile support. Using the blue-furred finger as a crutch, you sit down on her hand.

Flipping open the garage-sized object, she shows her ID badge. Grace Everly - DORU Towards the bottom, a small green circle that reads "Certified Micro EMT" "My name's Grace," she says. "My home's not far and I have plenty of stuff to patch you up with. Would you like me to assist you?"

Trembling, weight exclusively on one leg, you shake your head. That landing jacked up your ankle bad. "It...hurts..." you hiss, testing your weight on your bad foot and instantly regretting it. "I can imagine," she says quietly, fingers slipping an enormous wallet out of her jeans pocket.

"Hey, whoa, easy easy," the newcomer says. Purple paws come to a stop the next sidewalk panel over as a giant binturong in a red-checkered flannel crouches across from you. Golden eyes study you from behind thick-rimmed glasses and a look of pity crosses her face. "Damn kids," she mutters. "You ok?

Adrenaline still pumping, you force yourself back on your feet, but your leg has sustained enough damage today that it refuses to hold your weight. You hobble desperately forward, but you're never going to be able to leap the next sidewalk crack. A shadow falls over you as a new giant arrives.

"Oh crap!" one of the kids squeaks, "I've seen that lady before. My brother did a tour thing with her and got a picture. But she shrank him! We gotta cheese it!" The kids around you all scream and disperse, including the fox holding you captive. His fingers open, and you fall to the cement.

The other kids start a haunting chorus. "Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it!" The fox holding you hesitates, licks his lips with a tongue the size of a comforter, and slowly opens wide. "N-no-no no!" you shout, struggling in his grasp. "HEY!" a distant voice shouts. "What the hell are you guys doing?!"

The thumbs overhead part, and you see four young grinning faces with long snouts and teeth as thick as your fist. "N-no! Please! Don't! J-just let me go!" One of them pipes up. "I saw a kid on TikTok the other day who stuck a whole micro in his mouth as a prank. Bet you'd choke if you try!"

Surrounded now by black-padded fingers, you're terrified they'll make good on that tasteless nickname. "P-Please!" you call out. "D-don't kill me!" Beyond the fleshy walls, you hear laughter. "Aww, it's squeaking!" "Duh, it's scared." "You should lick it!" "Ew! Yeah! Lick it! You won't!"

Fingers as thick as your legs encircle you, cutting off outside light as a fox yells, "Gotcha!" Your heart pounds in your chest as despair sets in. First, they'd destroyed your den with fireworks. Then they'd laughed and given chase when you fled, yelling after you, "Get back here, little snack!"

Their footsteps send tremors that mess with your balance. The next gap you jump, you slip and collide with the opposite side, scraping your knee and shin horribly. Adrenaline helps you pull yourself out of the crack by your arms, but the time loss was too costly. The kids have caught up.

You're running down the sidewalk, tiny mouse legs pumping for all they're worth. Every sidewalk crack is like leaping a creek at your size, and you're tiring fast. You're desperate for shelter, anywhere that's safe now that home is gone. "It's running this way!" giants bellow behind you.

This turned out so fun! You took the core concept and really knocked it out of the park! :D 10/10 no notes <3

Unless a "giant" 5ft Binturong gal saw you shivering in your sleep, gently scooped you up while you were sleeping, and carried you to bed, laying you on her soft, warm chest before resting a protective hand over you to keep you safe. The soft rise and fall of her chest as she also goes to sleep. :3
