Update: I am probably too attached to this caterpillar now for my own good but I cannot help it, this sucker is incredibly cute.

Last night I got lucky and noticed this very lovely caterpillar on a vine growing along my wall! Can’t get a solid ID, but appears to be some type of hornworm. #bugsky #insects #InverteFest

It’s terrible. Anytime I repost a campaign to help an actual person my follows get flooded by accounts that follow *thousands* of people and only have one post up. Had these two happen today and searched the beginning of the handle. There are literally 50 accounts, all with that same structure.

It *does not* stop Christmas unfortunately. They were already putting Christmas stuff out at stores around me before Halloween even happened. These pictures are from late September. ^^;

The first image is a shot of a store aisle. Both sides are full of Christmas merchandise and decorations. The left aisle is more ornaments and tree lights, while the right aisle has a bunch of Santa hats, tree skirts, and stockings.

Extra info: The whole thing was made on a phone I had at the time. I used Procreate Pocket and drew it with my finger. My phone kept overheating and the canvas only had 25 layers to work with. ^^; This whole thing is also when Apollyon’s design was first made! They’ve changed a lot since then!

Several boxes indicate different things tracked in the app. The amount of brushstrokes is stated to be 36,448. The artwork took 50 hours and 25 minutes to finish, and the total size for the file was 1,265.64 MB.

The second image is an early version of an anthro Death’s-head hawkmoth OC named Apollyon. Their design is somewhat similar, but they don’t wear glasses, both sets of wings are behind their back, and the colours are different to what they are currently.

It's honestly impacted me a lot more than this, but I wanted to put the main things in. Undertale has done A LOT and been with me through some times, both good and bad. Really changed the way I approach video games and just life overall, but I'm pretty limited in words. ^^;

Was not aware! I’ve only been using it the past few years admittedly and have primarily used the app, so I’m not too surprised I missed that. ^^; It just came as a shock because the “classic” app presented itself so differently. The AI stuff felt so forced in the new app.

Having a service to help identify wildlife and then being gleeful about contributing to something that actively destroys wildlife is mind boggling. Nobody using iNaturalist wants GenAI. I *knew* y’all were going to pull something when the new app had this “ID with AI” crap.

I get these beetles in my area! Always get really happy when I have one pop up and visit.

A reference sheet for an anthro death’s-head hawkmoth character named Apollyon. The reference sheet has Apollyon’s design, as well as an alt design where they’re dressed in an outfit akin to a plague doctor. It also shows its colour palette and a blurb of text giving more information about Apollyon itself.

A five panel comic

Panel one has Apollyon, dressed in its coat and mask, talking to Hawk. Hawk has been drawn to resemble a death's head hawkmoth. It's night time, and the two are somewhere in the Ant Kingdom City. A building and two silhouettes of generic bugs are behind them.

Panel two shows just Apollyon. They look over their shoulder in confusion, a question mark near over their head, as someone offscreen yells, "Woah!"

The third panel reveals that the offscreen voice belongs to Tod. He's looking up cheerfully, holding a bucket resembling a Plumpling in one of his paws. He's also wrapped up in bandages, resembling a mummy.

"Your costume is so cool!" Tod starts to say. "How'd you make it?"

The fourth and fifth panels go back to Apollyon. Its in a similar pose in both panels, being viewed from the front as they look down at Tod. In the fourth panel, its antenna sit up in surprise, and a set of ellipses is near its head.

In the fifth panel, their antenna move down, and the "expression" on their mask changes to suddenly have eyebrows. One is lowered. The lens for Apollyon's eye that's under the lower eyebrow has changed shape a bit to be more of a half circle.

Confused, Apollyon asks, "Costume?"

#Bugtober Day 27: Past A bit of a look into Pan and Apollyon's past. Pan had found Apollyon, unconscious and in a rough state, in the Golden Hills when foraging and hurried to Defiant Root as fast as he could to get them help from Isau. #bugfables #bugfablesoc #bugfablesfanart

Standing in the walkway is Pan. He has an almost pleading expression as he looks at Isau. Pan is supporting and holding up an unconscious Apollyon. Pan's appearance is the same, but Apollyon is in a rougher state. They appear to be much thinner, with a slightly messier neck rough. It's wearing a pointed blue crystal as a necklace, and has a tattered muted red waist sash. It's missing its glasses however.

Both Pan and Apollyon are backlit from the light coming into the building from the outside.

The background shows the front wall of Isau's clinic, which appears to have cracks running along it in some spots from age. A simple, tattered paper that seems to detail the anatomy of a bug is on the wall, and a large pot and cabinet with several blue and red liquids in bottles are also seen.
