This is so cool looking! "Alaca Höyük bronze standard deer with gold nose and two lions/panthers (Museum of Anatolian Civilizations)"
Close-up museum photo of an ancient bronze standard shaped like a stylized stag, with elaborate branching antlers radiating outward and a gilded muzzle, displayed on a stand against a blurred red and green museum backdrop.

Not sure who made this, but it's brilliant!
"Meme using the 'Mean Girls' cafeteria scene format. Top panel: a blonde girl asks, 'So if you hatched from an egg... why don't you have feathers?' Bottom panel: a photo of a woman in a draped white gown (representing Helen of Troy, born from an egg in myth) is inserted between two other cafeteria characters, with the caption 'Oh my god Karen, you can't just ask someone why they're featherless.'"

At the book launch for this Wonder Woman reception book, and I am SO excited to get my hands on it for my fall Myth in Film class!
Book cover for The Classical Reception and Impact of Wonder Woman in Comics and Film. The cover features an illustrated Wonder Woman in her iconic red, blue, and gold costume, flexing her left bicep while holding her golden lasso. A blue panel on the left displays the series title, Imagines: Classical Receptions in the Visual and Performing Arts, the book title, and the editors: Amanda Potter, Natalie J. Swain, and Connie Skibiński. "Bloomsbury" appears at the bottom. The background has radiating light lines that emphasize the superhero illustration.

It legit tastes like corned beef hash. And now I am kind of let down about this revelation.
A can of Libby’s Corned Beef Hash against a plain background, showing the red label with a bowl of cooked hash on the front.

Growing up, Spam was too expensive for our family. We bought bologna instead. **NO, Spam and bologna are NOT the same thing.
Slices of SPAM and round bologna-like meat grilling on a flat-top griddle, with several round pieces cut to look like Pac-Man shapes.

OK, so I'm having Spam for the first time in my life. It's been on my shelf for years (literally).
Wall of stacked SPAM cans arranged in tight rows, each can showing the blue label with an image of a SPAM sandwich on the front.

I WAS going through and flagging all the items being sold with the "Alligator Alcatraz" stuff on it, then I got angry that Etsy wasn't doing this themselves. I was on their chat with customer service to complain. Here are the screenshots of what was said. UNBELIEVABLE. #Etsy #immigration
A screenshot of a live chat window with Etsy customer support. The Etsy Support Bot says the estimated wait time is 1–3 minutes. Then, a support agent named Nora joins and introduces herself: "Thanks for reaching out us, I'm Nora from support team and it will be a pleasure assist you today." The user responds in a dark blue text bubble:

"Hi Nora-- I know you are not responsible for this, but I need to know why is Etsy letting people sell merchandise for 'Alligator Alcatraz'? This is hate speech.

I was going through and flagging all the items I found, but then realized... this is not my job. It's Etsy's.

What is Etsy doing to combat this horrific merchandise being sold?"

The message is timestamped at 12:51 PM. The chat input field is visible at the bottom of the window.A screenshot of an Etsy customer support chat. The support agent, Nora, replies with a message in two parts. First, she says:

"We understand that certain products may feel upsetting or out of line with your values, and we appreciate you voicing how this particular item made you feel."

Then she continues:

"We take feedback like yours seriously and regularly review listings on our site to ensure they align with our policies and community standards. While individual sellers manage their own shops and product offerings, we strive to maintain a marketplace that respects a broad range of perspectives while staying within our guidelines."

The user responds in a dark blue message bubble:

"It is out of line with Etsy's purported values as well. This is glorifying a concentration camp.
But now I know Etsy's stance. Thank you."

The message is timestamped as "Sent · Just now." The chat input field is visible at the bottom.A screenshot of a continued Etsy customer support chat. The support agent, Nora, responds with the following message:

"I’ll be sharing your input with the appropriate team for further review.
Thanks for taking the time to let us know, and we encourage you to continue reaching out if you come across anything else you’d like to bring to our attention."

The message is timestamped as "Just now." The Etsy logo is visible beside the message, and the text input box remains at the bottom of the chat window.

You'd be surprised sometimes what people would love to receive from you! Outgrown baby clothes, extra food sent by a restaurant by accident, school project supplies, old furniture for practicing carpentry, leftover cupcakes from someone who works at a bakery...

Paging through Yolande de Soissons' illuminated Psalter book online at @MorganLibrary and I must say-- I am a fan that she was like "Make sure to put my favorite dog on the page with me." People of the past, they're just like us! ica.themorgan.org/manuscript/p...
Yolande de Soissons, wearing snood, headdress, and mantle of French heraldry, kneels on carpet of French heraldry. She raises her joined hands in prayer, beside inscribed book on prie-dieu and dog, before draped altar on which is statue of veiled, crowned, nimbed Virgin Mary seated on throne (?), holding Christ Child, cross-nimbed, with His right hand raised in blessing, and object in His left hand, seated on her right knee.
Scene within Gothic architectural frame decorated with cusps of ball terminals, six heraldic shields, including Count of Soissons (one) and Count of Grandpr³b (one), in medallions, and two hybrid animals, and inhabited by four birds, including a parrot, two owls, squirrel, dog, two hybrid men, and dog pursuing rabbit.

Sometimes, I'm just flabbergasted. How does one LOSE a 38 FOOT statue?! (I'm sure there are "reasons," I just haven't researched them)
