“Methane emissions from the energy sector plateaued near record highs,” the IEA found in its annual Global Methane Tracker. “There is still no sign that methane emissions from fossil fuel operations are falling, despite well-known and proven mitigation pathways.” Are they proven?

New Mexico snuck in a little bill called SB 136 on Friday. Known as the Unlawful Use Of Unmanned Aircraft bill. Humans can’t see methane, but we can see oil. The industry and the politicians they’ve bought don’t even want you to see that. @justinmikulka.bsky.social @txsharon.bsky.social

Jeff Bezos just destroyed the climate reporting at one of the biggest papers in the country. Makes you think he doesn't really care about addressing climate change, right? So what is he getting for his massive donations to many large climate related NGOs? He knows. Do you?

We know that reducing methane emissions is our best lever to slow global warming before 2050. The so-called climate "emergency brake" that we can pull if we choose. Instead, we are stepping on the accelerator.
