Emotional posting again!! Wanted to also show my mood board in making this redesign :D Shout out to Exusiai Arknights and Raana MyGO especially Also wanted to just show I debated doing cute little buttons that subtly reference AveMyGO and TogeToge, but it made the design too busy

Emotional letter about my thoughts on this redesign that reads as follows:
Okay, hi another long note, but I need to talk about this!! A lot of thoughts and feelings went into this little redesign of mine. I've always been kinda lowkey dissatisfied with my old design. There was so much I could nitpick even when I knew realistically I was the only one who could see these issues. I also have never had the time or energy until these last few months to tackle such a big, and personal project. I'm at a point in my aritst career where I actually feel fairly confident in my work, as I continue to explore and grow as an artist, is honestly not something I thought I could ever say.

This redesign is also a reclaiming for me. I won't say how because that's more personal, but anyway! The other reason I struggled to tackle this project was because of the fact it's so personal to me. I would hae to think on everything from how I continue to see myself, what fashion and styles I've come to love compared back then, etc. Having to sit with yourself for something like this is a lot actually. That may sound dramatic, but any creator who reads this especially I'm sure you understand the fun, but also the struggle of having to put your own heart into it. Whatever that may mean to you.

It truly did boil down to how can I make this as me as possible while still making a good and balanced design. I looked to my roots like my favorite colors, my very important roots in punk rock/pop and emo culture (it was never a phase), how my fashion sense has changed in these last few years, wanting to honor my culture (Filipino) + a culture that has influenced me a lot (Japanese), while still keeping some things from my old design I still loved! Not only as a fun call back, but also to say I'm still me even with this new design. I'm confident it shows! Soooo, yeah I don't know how to sign off on this letter this time. I'm currently listening to Against All Answers by Toge Toge...what about you?

Mood board I wanted to share that shows what inspired my redesign! It includes things like punk rock fashion, street wear, pre-colonial Filipino fashion, traditional Filipino tattoos, Raana from MyGO and Exusiai from Arknights

A fun design choice I didn't include in the final design as it made it too busy: They're three buttons that are designed to be subtle nods to MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica and Togenashi Togeari bc I love band girl anime a lot lol

2025 reflection letter:

This is a bit of an emotional thing for me to make, but I’m making
this to reflect and maybe this will resonate with anyone as well who
is a creative: 2025 was a wild ride for me. I let go of a business I
helped build up for years, but also felt complete about and wanted to
move on to other things. I was forced to revisit some old wounds,
discover ones I didn’t realize I have, and let go of a lot in general.

One of the biggest things I had to face, that I pushed towards the back
of my mind for years now, is my relationship with my art. In my efforts
to make a name as an artist in the industries and communities I care
about, I almost fell out of love with art. These are the pieces I made for
fun: It's not much, but 2025 was a journey of rediscovery to remember
why I love art. It has, and always will be, an emotional experience for me.
I create when things resonate with me, when a story touches my heart,
when I feel inspired by other people’s stories and experiences. Or even
just because I’m passionate about art itself. Shout out to one friend
who got me to watch Rocketman, and then another group of friends
who got me into MyGO and Ave Mujica. All different stories, but with
the same heart that spoke to me of using a creative outlet to speak
your heart out and made me think. As cheesy as that sounds, I know.
At the later part of 2025 though I slowly regained my love of creating
just for the sake of it and now I’m gonna continue chasing that.

Thank you once again to my friends both current and new ones, and
ones I even reconnected with. You helped make my year a little easier
to handle, but also gave me both new homes and homes to return to.
I’m closing out this emotional letter with: I’ve made a lot of big plans
for 2026, so I look forward to seeing how I grow as an artist (and
person, of course) from here! Both personally, and as I continue to
work in those industries and communities I still have a lot of love for.
