Inspiring stuff, actually. Reminds me of how my parents would encourage me whenever I felt unsure: nobody can ask for more than your best effort. If you can walk away knowing you've done that much, then even if you don't achieve your goal, that's something to be proud of.

Final Fantasy 14 is a master of conveying loss. It's not always big drama: sometimes it's as simple as returning to place where people were, and now they are not. The lights are off. The halls are silent. There is no one to welcome you home. Just... absence: the memory of what was there before.

That. Sequence. Went. Crazy. As well, Garuda had probably some of my favourite boss designs & music so far. That's Eikon number 3 down! No time to celebrate, though, unfortunately. Garuda's wings may be clipped, but a new threat emerges: the Ultimate Weapon!

I'm on a bit of a wild crystal chase in my hunt for Garuda, but one of the stops along the way was handling a Siren. I can't quite decide if I like this design or the one from Final Fantasy VIII better, but both are completely gorgeous, so can't complain.
