Had the best day yesterday at Polesden Lacey! 🌿 Gorgeous tapestries, dreamy furniture, & Queen Mary’s embroidered kimono stole my heart 👘💫 Left with some vintage needlework books + a floral tote from the 2nd-hand shop 📚🧵 #PolesdenLacey #NationalTrust #HeritageStyle #EmbroideryInspo #VintageVibes

A grand, historic yellow mansion with white trim and large sash windows stands under a partly cloudy sky. The building features a central entrance with columns and an ornate clock tower rising above the roofline. Ivy climbs the walls in places, and a gravel courtyard with benches and flowerbeds surrounds the front. A few people are seen walking near the entrance, adding a sense of scale and life to the stately scene.

An ornate, vintage tapestry hangs above a carved wooden bed with a gilded floral crest. The tapestry features a romantic pastoral scene in muted tones: a seated woman in classical dress is surrounded by flowers, a dog, and a cherub holding a garland. The central image is framed by an elaborate oval border of floral and scroll motifs on a blush pink background, adding a sense of grandeur and elegance to the room.

A beautifully embroidered cream-colored kimono is displayed on a mannequin inside a museum exhibit. The kimono features delicate pink and white floral patterns, primarily roses, with intricate branches and leaves cascading across the back and sleeves. The garment is showcased in a softly lit glass case, surrounded by mirrors and interpretive panels that hint at historical context, including a sign mentioning “Royal Friends” and Queen Mary.

A floral fabric tote bag lies on a textured white surface, with two colorful needlework books placed on top. One book is titled “Old English Roses in Needlework” by Jane Iles, showing a hand embroidering pink roses. The other is “Fairy Tales in Cross Stitch,” featuring whimsical cross-stitch designs, including Little Red Riding Hood. The tote bag and book covers feature floral and vintage-inspired designs.

Seaside scene stitched, fish happy, kites soaring, and the alphabet’s all there… maybe? Something’s not quite right. Think you can catch it before I break out the frogging needle? 🐸🧵 #skystitch #fibrearts #alphabetcrime #crossstitch #needlecrafts #wip

A seaside-themed cross stitch piece in progress. The border features a whimsical alphabet stitched around the edges, starting with A on the top left and wrapping clockwise. Colorful seaside motifs fill the interior: two fish, a crab, a sailboat, a beach hut, a kite, and waves. At first glance, the alphabet appears complete, but something seems subtly off.

🦋 Butterfly’s taking a nap — she’s officially on the shelf for now. The sampler is BACK and demanding attention (and snacks). Hoping to power through and finally finish it in the next couple of evenings… unless floss chaos strikes again 🤞 #CrossStitch #CraftSwitch #fibreart #needlecrafts #wip

A nearly completed cross-stitch of a vibrant butterfly with shades of pink, purple, blue, and orange, displayed in a pink embroidery hoop on a fluffy white surface. To the side are cross-stitch tools, including a mint green needle minder, a silver laying tool, and a tin of “Thread Gloss” in a pink container. The left wing is partially stitched, with just a few sections remaining.

🧵🦋 #Butterfly status: winging it She’s almost got wings — just a few more stitches before she takes off into the land of ✨ #handmade greatness✨ Still riding high on the power of a #3D-printed hoop. Crafting? Yes. Thriving? Obviously. #CrossStitch #WIP #needlecrafts #embroidery #fibrearts #canvasart

A nearly finished cross-stitch butterfly in a pink 3D-printed hoop, resting on a soft, fluffy surface. The butterfly features shades of orange, blue, pink, and maroon. Surrounding the hoop are a mint green needle minder, a whimsical house-shaped needle minder attached to the fabric, a tin of pink “Thread Gloss,” and a laying tool. A pink thread is still looped through part of the design.

🧵🦋 The kit came with no hoop — which feels like a stitchy betrayal. But no worries, I 3D printed one on my #3dprinter like the crafty menace I am 😌💪 Now this butterfly’s back on track and looking cute in pink. #CrossStitch #Crafting #3DPrinting #BambuLab #MakerLife

🧵✨ Butterfly in the making! Got my floss sorted, my needle threaded, and a tiny wing of hope stitched in 💖 Who knew counting squares could be so satisfying (and slightly maddening)? Stay tuned for more #cross-stitch chaos and hopefully… a full butterfly 🦋 #CrossStitch #Wip #needlecraft #fibreart

A close-up of a cross-stitch project in progress on white Aida cloth. The design, which appears to be a butterfly, shows completed sections in orange, blue, maroon, and pink threads. A needle threaded with pink embroidery floss is resting on the fabric. In the bottom right corner is a green plastic container, likely used for holding needles or thread. The project is placed on a dark surface
