Mark Selby defeats Noppon Saengkham 10:6 to win the ‘26 China Open, his career 26th ranking title. Congrats to Noppon on a fantastic week, which included wins over Trump, O’Sullivan, Murphy. The first session of the China Open final between Mark Selby and Noppon Saengkham ends 4-4: a fair result, as the Jester did not manage to shine (in spite of a 138 TC) as he did during the week. Big credits goes to Noppon, who played some brilliant shots and got close to end the session ahead #147sf

A big mention for Shaun Murphy, who broke today at the China Open the record for the most unanswered points in a snooker match, as he had 607 (!!) against Matthew Selt, including also four centuries. The previous record, unbeaten for 12 years, was held by Ronnie O’Sullivan, with 556 points #147sf

Xiao Guodong has scored today the 4th maximum of his pro career. Interestingly, this is the second time this year he lost a match after scoring a 147: today he suffered a comeback from Neil Robertson, while back in January he lost to Oliver Lines after opening the match with a maximum #147sf #stats

After the fist frames, surely no one would have expected the possibility of a comeback from John Higgins. Instead, the Wizard of Wishaw has defeated Ronnie O’Sullivan 13-12, in spite of trailing 4-9. Higgins, who will face now Robertson or Wakelin, will play his career 20th QF at the Crucible #147sf
