And Heathcliff is never leaving anyone behind, it's Rodya's ability at reading people combined with Heathcliff's sheer will what saves him

And I do think the fact that it was Rodya and Heathcliff who got Gregor out of his transformation and saved him together is meant to be some kind of foreshadowing for their roles in the future. Rodya has the "Symbol of the Hero" and she's the one to realize they can bring him back, for example

I love how she grew and made her brother's "maybe something good will happen next time" about keeping on living oh and the talk about the light drives me crazy i swear it does

Tiphereth: But I think I understand now. It's expectations that give us the strength to push through hardship.

Roland: Those expectations being...?

Tiphereth: That we can trust things to become better tomorrow.

Tiphereth: Once you gain the insight to see those other lights, you don't have to stay curled up in the darkness anymore. Though it's up to you to approach that light or stay in the darkness.

not even a theory anymore bro it's straight up her brother

Tiphereth: Enoch was different. He always had his eyes set on the light that seemed so far away. I wondered how he could have such an outlook...

Demian: Because the light is yet to reach me.
