That said, after doing oxy-acetylene even a little... I like that a lot more. A constant flame's much simpler to control than a 2 foot long wiggly bit of metal that can get stuck to things.

What I want out of a hoodie is this: A poncho. But the poncho has a hood deep enough to cover the upper half of your face without making a goofy point in the back. I want the sides of the poncho to be joined together, and then the upper edges to form wrist length sleeves.

A big part of why it was so nice is the body part was LOOSE. this was the sagging pants gangsta rap era of fashion, so it was designed to just be ... billowy? they make clothes for people built like fuckin straws now, even a 2xl isn't actually cut for torso space, it's just narrow in allcaps

oxyacetylene welding was much easier to learn than stick, so far. being able to move the business end of the heat source closer is much easier than the fuckin two foot SMAW electrodes. However, I'm not as confident controlling the heat/fusion and filler material...yet.
