I’ve always been a pretty big Michael Jackson fan cause to me Jackson was a little like Mozart - just a genius kid who got smacked around by his dad til he was brilliant.

And by the time he was 25 or so, he already had around 20 years of experience due to that, which put him into a league of his own that arguably nobody else has really reached ever since (thankfully, nobody should ever hurt a child…).

And we all got to enjoy seeing his genius there for a while.

But I remember in the early 90s when all the vultures came out, claiming that he did this and that - and like many others, I was shocked and believed those stories at first, because… why would the press lie in such a big way about someone just to try to destroy that person’s life? What would they have to gain from that? I didn’t understand all that until way later in life…

Then investigations started, he was dragged in front of a court and was found not to be guilty on all counts - multiple times, actually.

And yet, the damage was already done. He still had his fans that backed him every step of the way, but a lot of people heard those stories and believed them and that was that.

I was quite young in the early 90s and obviously naively believed the stories I had heard - like so many others. But as you get older and find out how the press and journalists work and how much of all that is just hearsay and often times even complete and utter nonsense, you start to get skeptical about any kind of claims they make.

I don’t want to put myself on the same pedestal, but I often thought about this whenever the press would write silly things about me or Moon - things that were made up, exaggerated or just total nonsense.

And so I don’t blame people that don’t know any better, cause how would you? I didn’t back then either.

Yet, I strongly believe the the internet has made this problem even worse - because now almost everyone can make some claims and some naive people will choose to believe those, even if those claims are clearly fabricated buffoonery.

So… always think twice when you read some silliness, question hidden agendas - because almost everything in our world is driven by financial interests and that very often brings out the worst in people…
