“I Know You” Sloth and Wrath, 7 Deadly Sins
Depiction of Sloth and Wrath, from the 7 Deadly Sins, acting unbothered by their respective hell fates of snake bites and dismemberment. Diptych, pencil drawing on 11.5 by 14” heavyweight paper.
Right drawing foreground:
Sloth, a bare woman with snakes wrapped around and biting her feet, lies on a giant snake’s head and gazes down at Wrath. Wrath, a bare man missing his right arm and holding a dagger in his left, sits on the ground and leans against the snake as he gazes up at Sloth. They don’t seem surprised to see one another here. The back half of a bear can be seen behind the giant snake’s head. The giant snake’s body winds back into the distance and to the left, crossing into the other drawing.
Right midground:
On the left, a male Wrath, missing his bottom half, drags himself toward the foreground. On the right, a bear roars at a woman while she holds a sword up between them. To their right there is a group of Sloths(male and female) dancing in a circle to avoid snake bites. One woman in the circle does not dance and watches the others, hand on hip.
Right background:
Large pile of dismembered bodies with people wandering or dragging themselves away from it.
Left drawing foreground:
A male Wrath leans against the giant snake’s coils as his leg is ripped off by a bear. He looks annoyed. The bear’s body goes off the page to the right— continues on the right drawing.
Left mid-ground:
A pair of Sloths hold hands as they hold their feet up and away from snake strikes. There are some dismembered legs and bones to the left. On the right, a bare female Wrath lies legs spread on the giant snake’s back. Her arm is being ripped off by a bear that stands on its back legs next to the snake.
Left background:
Another massive snake looks down over the coils over the first giant snake at a pair lying in a field. On points up at the snake as the other lounges, unbothered. On the right, a female Sloth is bent over looking at us from between her legs. She’s surrounded by snakes.Depiction of Sloth and Wrath, from the 7 Deadly Sins, acting unbothered by their respective hell fates of snake bites and dismemberment. Sometimes self-care looks like asking for help.🗣️ ✨WIP art for tax✨ …I’d fallen behind on work—to the point where I was hiding, bc it was all Just Too Much. Last night, I talked to a friend about it, and suddenly life feels doable again. …All that to say—ask for help when you need it💕you are loved!
Inspired by Sloth and Wrath from the 7 Deadly Sins. This is a work in progress of a renaissance-style pencil drawing of a hellscape. There are 2 pieces of paper. The fore paper has a man missing one leg leaning against a massive snake and looking back over his shoulder with a bored expression. The back paper has a woman lying on the same massive snake’s head with smaller snakes wrapped around her ankles and biting her feet. She is looking down at a man missing an arm. There is also a ribcage, a disembodied arm, and a pile of bodies. The man and woman are looking at each other with neutral expressions.
