A lot of people like to play old JRPGs while drawing their own maps and leaving notes for things to come back to. I do it while keeping a list of important character and location names so my dumb ADHD brain can always come back to cross check it. We are not the same.

Been replaying Chrono Trigger latley, just made it to Zeal. ...Ok Imma be completely honest, this game has been like, WAY better than I remembered it being. I still do prefer FFVI personally, but like yeah I 100% see why so many like this more. Absolutely magical game

If you're going out of your way to play the untranslated DS version of 1 + 2, honestly you could also go ahead and play pied Piper after 2 and before 3. It's an untranslated mobile game that came out between 2 and 3 people say is really good and it got a rerelease recently

The really weird thing is that Shin Megami Tensei 2, which similarly features a lot of really mature concepts, has SHOCKINGLY easy Japanese. Like I was able to get through that one super quickly knowing most of the words it used beforehand

The only recent exception really is Star Allies. But honestly I think it's better to look at that one as a celebration game for the series, with it being the last mainline 2D game for a while helping that assessment

It's honestly insane how Hal is always able to come up with really creative ideas to theme Kirby games around so that they all stand out in some way, I feel like a lot of other platformer mascot series don't really have that sorta strength

Interesting to see that the iconic title drop wasn't actually in the original Japanese script of twewy in that he says "The world only goes as far as you can see" which doesnt match with the game's JP name You can tell the translators got to this point and realized what a golden opportunity they had

The AAI Collection is probably the best example of a game I am incredibly happy simply exists. For a while it seemed like Capcom was never gonna re-release AAI again, so even if we never see these characters again, I am so glad these games are now available to play alongside all of the others
